RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017

The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.

If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.

To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

-SoulRiser

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. My contact details are here.

Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.

OOC:This is gonna be the quest page. I need to write out the IC part, but if you want you can go ahead and introduce who you'll be sending(which is what my IC will be, as well as the exact meet location for further posting) and whatever story stuff you'll want to add. You can bring a small crew of like 6 people(per nation).

A kid wanting to prove that kids can be useful too goes deep into the magma chambers, turns Idgeus a lava elemental to stone and offers her to a representative for the dragon quest. Also another kid younger one, is forced to come because there parents are going away.

Ashlee Deathbringer will be on the ground with a group of her best men, and Adolph Bluesteel and his men will be researching things for her domestically.

Five expatriated Wastreans have been promised expunged criminal records and military honors if they succeed in locating, or helping another non-enemy team to locate, the artifact.

Public Service Announcement: First world problems are still problems.

(Ms. Deathbringer and a four of her best pupils have left Luvania and are deep into the dense rainforests.)

Come on, maggots. We need to get to the meeting place in two weeks. Do you want the other nations to head for the Crown without us?-Ms. Deathbringer

Ma'am, the others are some prisoners and a kid. Would we really need their help?-Mr. Doomskull

Yes, actually. This is a dangerous journey filled with traps and the like. I doubt that these people will proceed with any sort of caution, so we can look at them as fodder to expose the traps. They die, we go on. Then the Lady gets all the glory. -Ms. Deathbringer

-------------
(Mr. Bluesteel enters a darkened room. A few doctors and scholars follow.)

So... this is where you'll be working. All documents about the Crown and all information in the Database relating to the Crown will be available to you. I expect biweekly reports on everything that you learn. I'l help whenever I'm able. -Mr. Bluesteel

(Mr Bluesteel brings out a large box with a circular hole in it. This box has a candle in it, and in front of the hole are several sticks of incense, in front of all of them a looking glass of some sort. Bluesteel lights the candle and all of the incense, and then casts a spell on the device, and the shadows of the smoke now take form as an image in the projected light. The image on the projector is what Ms. Deathbringer is seeing at that same moment. This link between the projector and Ms. Deathbringer is possible by their mutual link to the Lady.)

(At around the same time Topaz & company head to the meeting place with a map from M.)

During the time the group was traveling Idgeus was in rock form and in a small red wagon to stop Idgeus from getting bored and leaving. Meanwhile Makota, the mayor's child, was walking along wearing a red dress and a red headband with a blossom on her short purple hair. Makota didn't expect the babysitter to take Makota so far from home but Makota didn't say anything about it since Makota didn't really care. For Topaz is was hard to tell how Makota felt becuase of the long eye covering bangs so he really hoped Makota wasn't crying or extremely nervous.

Far ahead of Topaz scattered along the in the future of the journey nis demons wondered around doing there daily business. Some waiting for visitors some for some strange reason actually fearing visitors.

Back at wherever the Mayor was. The Mayor was sitting at a table discussing mayor stuff with other mayor's, not the slightest bit worried about his child. He assumed Makota was safe and sound in the home of M.. Not accompanying Topaz on a quest about a dragon crown.

Not to far away at the House of Representatives, the representatives were currently discussing problems other the dragon crown quest since M. had told them he found quality candidates for the dragon quest while alone and they trusted him.
