When Teachers Interrupt Students

People think it's bad when students interrupt teachers, right? But what do people think when teachers interrupt students? Isn't that equally as bad?

My group in English class made me represent them by answering a question. So I answered the question, and in the middle of my sentence the teacher interrupts me to correct my grammar or something. Since I was talking, I only heard a portion of what she said, so I asked, "Can you repeat that? I didn't hear you."
"You never hear me," she replies. And the whole class laughs.
Then, embarrassed and flustered, I lose my train of thought, and want to continue answering the question, but I totally forget what I was about to say and respond with some bullshit in an attempt to recollect my memory. Then the teacher cuts me off again and skips me to go to the next person.

God damn. Why can't the teacher listen to what the student has to say for once? Why does she have to ridicule me in front of the entire class? And this is not the first time she's done something like this. I feel afraid and vulnerable whenever I'm in her classroom. Sometimes it's teachers like this that make students go off edge.

Anyway, yeah, that's my first rant on this forum. Expect more to come... :/

I agree man. Also teachers are stupid authoritarian assholes.
Another stupid thing is when you walk in 10 seconds late, apparently you're interrupting the whole class. But no bitch, you're lecture is disrupting the class.
But it's okay for teachers to interrupt you because they don't care or are too ignorant to understand it from the students point of view. Seriously, fuck them.

My old math teacher used to interrupt EVERYONE.

I hated when she interrupted the entire class with her damn lectures too.
My infamous chemistry teacher also likes to interrupt you when giving lectures. First he talks on and on without letting you get a single word in; If you try and talk he just keeps talking. Then when you try and say something in your defense, he interrupts you as if he's trying to stop you from defending yourself. What an asshat.

Oh god this isn't just in the school system. Adults can interrupt, walk all over, and crush the thoughts of a child and people will often cheer! God forbid a child try to defend themselves. Then it becomes "talking back".

I know that feeling. Always ironic how teachers can go on about students respecting them, and somehow feel like they don't have to give them any in return whatsoever.

Precisely, this often happens, and the child often does not have a good response ready, leading to more embarassement.
