RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.
-SoulRiser

RE: The Games: Geography of SS
It's much like how an abandoned office building looks. No lights are on, there are papers everywhere, and it've very dusty. The place is littered with guns and bullet casings. You easily get one assault rifle and one pistol each, but can't find any patented explosive bullets. Or boring regular ones, at that.
When you russled through the firearms, Wactor accidently drop a gun. After that, you heard a voice say "What the hell?" way down the hall, in a room full of cubicles.

The Games: Geography of SS
Winters continues sneaking through the second floor, beckoning for Molly to find him.
He's vaguely aware of the common layout of Capitalistian office buildings, but isn't completely sure how to find the exit on the other side.

The Games: Geography of SS
Wactor picks up the gun and decides to stay with the pack. He doesn't want to get himself in a dumb situation, though the room in question not only smells like chicken wings.... it smells like a barbecue..... hmm.....

The Games: Geography of SS
Winters nods.
He and Molly take cover behind the doorway of the room they entered via window, and silently peek into the hallway.

In the hallway, Winters sees about twenty men and women in vests eating chicken. One person looks over and says, "Hey, It's Chicken Night! What are you doing? Come and eat?"

The Games: Geography of SS
Winters: (DECEPTION) "Hot damn!"
He comes over and accepts some chicken. Noticing that people are eyeballing his Freedom Party attire, he adds, "You should have seen the 'libertarian' motherf*****s I killed to get this," and begins laughing.

The Games: Geography of SS
Winters quietly agrees, but decides to handle it diplomatically.
He asks the Control Party partiers, "You guys got anything I can change into that isn't Freedom sh*t? You're free to keep what I've got if you want it for subterfuge or whatnot."

RE: The Games: Geography of SS
Everyone smiles and laughs, glad that there's one person very eager in this war. Except for one woman who never takes her piecing eyes away from Winters. She walks toward Winters with a smirk.
Hello, Clara Watson, but you can call me Sergeant Watson. (Holds out hand.) I'm glad to see you-I mean, another soldier- with us. Clothes are in the back.-Sgt. Watson

The Games: Geography of SS
Winters knows very well who Watson is - after all, they're in the same line of business and she's the very person he's trying to impress - but he makes no mention of it nor his present predicament with the GameMaker.
Winters: "Thanks. Long live the Control Party!"
He chews on a wing while he goes in the other room to don other clothes...and most importantly, ditch the tracking device.

The Games: Geography of SS
(OOC: I don't plan on it. But it is best that Winters ceases taking part in the games so he can actually have time to aid FASH.
Still, I doubt the GameMaker imprisoned only four people. No doubt he has to resort to time-diluting tricks so he can keep tabs on his other players.)

After changing her clothes.
Molly: *to Winters* How do you know her, Mr. Winters?
If you didn't know Molly is trying to impress Winters. The clues are her defending him and calling him "Mr. Winters"

The Games: Geography of SS
Winters: *whispering* We don't. That's precisely what the GM will expect.
Look, I think it best if you keep your tracking device on you and continue playing his games; he'll be more ruthless if more than one of us disappear. But I've got friends...powerful friends...that might be able to put a stop to it. But I need to contact them, and I can't do that under the GM's watchful eye.
Got any ideas?

The Games: Geography of SS
Winters: *to Molly, quietly, but growing increasingly frustrated* That's not going to work. This is the greatest chance I've had to escape, and you're ruining it. I should never have asked you to follow me; I told you not to get in my way, you rotting, limb-losing, zombie b****!
He leaves Molly in stunned silence as he strikes up conversation with some nearby soldiers, hoping a new idea will come to him.
