To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

User on Crack:
Achieve 10 Posts per day.
Infamous:
Have 5 Infamy.
Fail Train:
Derail 5 topics so they end in either the bin or the frag arena. Splits don't count.
Beloved:
Have 10 Fame.
Gud Drawlings: Upload 5 (srs) Drawings to Creative forum
Gud Riter: Upload 5 (srs) Pieces of writing to Creative forum.
Gramer Tiem: 75% of your posts must be unreadable.
KING OF THE FORUMS: Have the latest post in all the forums at any one time.
Posting Milestone 1:
Get 1,000 posts.
Posting Milestone 2:
Get 3,000 posts.

Get 10,000 posts

The irony. I was just talking to my boyfriend last night how I dislike achievements because it makes me feel like I failed THE GAME if I don't get them all.
But I think it would have quite the opposite e(a?)ffect here at S-S. =)
So....are we going to do a thing where if we have X achievements we post them in a section of our profile page, like below the "LOL MY FAVORITE COLOR IS...., MY EYES ARE....," & whatever else? Maybe separated by a ___ underscore? Or is this just going to be one of S-S's many half-arsed ideas that shall only make it to a couple of threads for teh lulz?
Should there be a poll to see if people actually want to do this thing?
And what is to keep people from lying about getting achievements? Some members might call them out on it, others might not even notice....but maybe there should be a designated achievement-rewarder who's master of the, er, achievement hand-outs in a thread of his/her own?
....I'm looking far too into this, aren't I? :>_>:
