To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Art Institute
I was thinking about applying one day. I know I could get a job without it, but I think it would be good for me. To get out, meet other people expecting to go into the same field, not to mention Ai would really look great on a resume.
My dad initially lied to me and said I'd have to get a diploma, but they accept GEDs also. Does anyone know anything about the Art Institute? There's one in Chicago, but it's within driving distance of my house, and the whole point is to get as far the fuck away from that place as possible. So, which one should I go to? As far as I remember, there's ones in the following places:
Kansas
California
New England
Pittsburgh
and Chicago

It's a waste of time unless you already have a backbone of experience or external financial support (that is - rich and supportive parents [lolwut]).
I'm afraid you'll have to keep doing your stuff now until you have enough experience to start something... or BECOME WORKAHOLIC DOCTUR TROLOLOL (obvious choice is obvious)

And, I think my parents would pay to send me to college, the reason they're mad at me now is because they think there's no way in hell I could even go to college, if I get a acceptance letter from the Art Institute, my parents will be shelling out money left and right.

If you can go, do it because it'll keep those bastards off your head and give you some time to practice your own style, though I fear for you because college = constant peer exposure = a small chance you'll lose a bit of yourself in the pursuit of what others want from you.

Meh. I don't even think they have a sports team. It's not the type of school to get a shitton of students going to college just to make asses out of themselves, those types usually go to universities.

It would be awesome for that purpose provided she doesn't rely only on what they 'teach' there. But if it's interesting and will take parents off her back, it's worth it.
Just hope there won't occur any educational boredom effect, that this thing could make you hate art because they'd explain it poorly.

Cold? It's only cold in the winter/late fall/really early spring. I wish it wasn't so fucking hot outside right now, 'cause if it wasn't I'd get off my lazy ass and go outside.
Also, you don't even know where in The Burgh I live. This art institute could be a five minute drive away from my house, or it could be downtown. Though there's always ways of finding out.
