To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Fallout 3 won't start.
Every time I start it up, it crashes before the first loading card.
I've tried starting with fomm and the normal launcher, putting fix .ddl files in, making sure my .ini was properly configured, checked FO3edit for incompatibilities and made patches, tried loading with just the official dll and only FO3, downloaded the latest official patch, tried the unofficial patch, restarted my computer, ensured I had the latest versions of FOMM and FOSE, going into properties and running comparability packages, running as administrator, and even completely reinstalled Fallout, my DLC, and mods (Fun fact, it seems I had 17 gigs of old unused textures/meshes/LOD/sound files from mods I got rid of.) and NOTHING has worked.

Anyway, I tried the last thing I could think of to fix it and nothing, and I'm not going to bother with tech support, it never helps.

I haven't seen too many mission mods that meet my "keep" standards, anything you'd recommend for when/if I get my thing working again?

Well most of them are kinda crappy, I try to go for the ones that stick with the theme of the game. Usually I uninstall them when I'm done but there are a few that I keep on.
One I strongly recommend is "A Note Easily Missed"

It's my favorite add on mission. You need to be extremely observant though because it isn't very specific at all. I ended up using a walkthrough more than once and I am totally against walkthroughs but I just couldn't for the life of me figure out were to go. It only happens twice and it's not anything to do with the story line, It's just finding certain locations. Other than that I was extremely impressed. Pretty good plot, great design when compared to other add on missions and pretty extensive back story.

Played it, played all of Pucemoose's riddle things, but they seem to be a little unstable for me so I don't keep them.

You sure it's the same, no matter what I do it crashes literally within 3 seconds of me pressing launch.
If so, how long has it been doing it?
Found out the geck is doing the same, just stops responding.
Tried doing a system restore, but after it finishes (restart and all) it says it failed and changed nothing.
Also tried updating my video card drivers, nothing.

Try uninstalling it, deleting all the files left over, deleting all the registry entries it left behind (be careful during this step), and if that fails, try a pirated copy, see if that does anything.

It gets on the loading thing for the beginning with the war music before it goes to main menu and then just crashes.
I tried installing it on a new computer and it does the same thing and I lack the patience to do it with it so I just started playing stalker with mods.

Pirate communities along with modded 360=win
fallout new vegas will now be a reason for me to get back on my modded 360(its been sitting because most games now are boring).
Also don't use torrents(too slow).
Use share sites.

You have to use a tool like this to delete the reg entries but be careful what you delete less you fuck your comp up(Just delete fallout 3 stuff).

I uninstalled Fallout 3, cleaned my registry files with Ccleaner, then reinstalled Fallout in a folder other than the default directory, FOMM, FOSE, and patched to 1.6.
Excuse me flipperskips, I'mma go kill me some enclave with the NEW MMM.
