To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

School's out
So, even though I haven't been active the past couple weeks, since school's almost out for me I'm probably not going to come back to this website until either I get a laptop of my own or my parents get a better computer, the one we have now is pretty bad when trying to view some things, and so I'd just like to say that I'll see you guys later and if anyone would like to talk to me then you can email me through the email on my profile and just tell me some basic info about which one of the hundreds of people on the site you are and what you want to talk about.
I will also be putting different accounts for different things on there as well for anyone that is willing to talk through other means than just email.
It was a fun half of a year with you guys though and I still find it funny that the forums were blocked on my school laptop last year, but not this year so I was finally able to talk to everyone on the forums and, possibly, annoy some of the new people that came here.
P.S. Does anyone know what happened to the on girl that basically went through hell and back, drawing a blank on her name or acronym but I'm sure someone will know who I'm talking about, because she hasn't posted in awhile and I've been meaning to ask about her but always get distracted by something on Reddit.
P.S.S. It was nice knowing all of you, especially the 40 year old guy that runs this site *cough*SR*cough*.

We(and I) will maybe perhaps possibly await you return. Course it all depends on the 40 year old man running the site and his mental clarity. There is always a chance he'll get drunk and accidentally erase the entire site then sell the domain name to the US department of education or some private non-profit organization bent on making students bow down to the will of schools.
But thats doubtful. So no worries, we will be here(we as in the site), through even the purges.

So I felt like giving this old thread of mine a little bit of a bump for the people that were completely uncaring about why I left.
Also, I noticed that it linked the irc chat so that's a decent enough reason to bump it...I suppose.
Another also...some newbies might be able to find out why I have made quite a few jokes about SR.
