RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. My contact details are here.
Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.

Holy fuck that's a hard one. Depends on what the remote island has to offer... if I have decent human contact and technology, gimme the island.
If it's just forever alone... think I'd rather just kill myself lol. I think so... I mean IRL I'd just try not to go to school and do crazy shit against da system or something.
god fucking dammit
Would you rather... die by a nuke or by an earthquake?

Depends on how far I am from the nuke, but i'd take the nuke. You basically die instantly and it's too quick for you to feel much pain. An earthquake can kill you in many painful ways.
Plus it'd be cool to have my shadow burnt into the ground for 5ever

Stuck in the library. A little bit of therapy and a lotta bit of highly addictive prescriptions will make all my problems go away. Plus, I mightve been able to light the shooters on fire and kill em early since I always have a lighter on me.

Oh good god.
Baseball bat would probably cause some serious internal damage (if you're talking about the ENTIRE thing going up)
The hoisting would cause the worst pain behind comprehension and also probably some dick damage.. I guess I'd take the bat, I like having the ability to get a boner and I can get surgery or some shit to fix my anus.
Would you rather drink a cup of raw sewage or a cup of the ball sweat of an obese man?

Would you rather eat nothing but plain pizza for a month, or never eat it again?
Go to work. Send your kids to school. Follow fashion. Act normal. Walk on the pavement. Watch TV. Save for your old age. Obey the law. Repeat after me: "I am free."
shotgun. they're both equally bad but at least I can talk about some semblence of reality and not just 'dood y dont u got weed any1 that haz no weed iz a fag L0lolol' shit.
Would you rather have Aya bitch you out in argument form in public or have bulgvar heavily criticize you with his moralfaggotry in your house?

TRIGGER WARNING: THIS TRIGGER WARNING CONTAINS TRIGGER WARNINGS!
Dear Tumblrites:Despite your wrongly self-diagnosedPTSD, no line ofscientific evidencesuggests people can be triggered over theinternet. Triggering works through thesenses(i.e. smell, taste, touch, vision, hearing.) but it goes throughreal time; if you're not experiencing it in real life as it'sACTUALLY HAPPENINGin yourACTUALlife, youCANNOTbe triggered. The only exception to this is if you have aseizure, but then again, that's triggered byepilepsy(i.e. rapidly-changing flashing lights)NOT PTSD. Remembering a bad incident is NOT the same thing as having aflashback. When you remember, youthink; when youflashback, youfeel.

Max Stirnir Wrote:"In the time of spirits thoughts grew till they overtopped my head, whose offspring they yet were; they hovered about me and convulsed me like fever-phantasies -- an awful power. The thoughts had become corporeal on their own account, were ghosts, e. g. God, Emperor, Pope, Fatherland, etc. If I destroy their corporeity, then I take them back into mine, and say: "I alone am corporeal."
