The game is awesome, but so damn buggy. When I had it for xbox it would crash every half-hour to hour. It crashed every ten minutes on my computer, and I hope its just because I installed a bad mod or something.

I never had that problem. It would crash if I did crazy shit with the console like spawn 50 General Olivers or something but that is understandable. Other than that it ran fine and I didn't even have optimized on my system.

Well, I remember some crashs happening in my PS3, but, other than that, it runned fine.

Protip: Crashing occurs most during these 5 things

-play in third person
-switch in and out of 3rd person a lot
-auto-saving
-QUICKSAVING
-saving over the same file over and over

autosaving, In my opinion, is important, so leave it on and try to avoid the others. The more you save over the same file, the more buggy your game will get. dont do that. make alot of saves and delete old ones when you get over 100.

saving over the same file is sort of like inbreeding, if there was something wrong with the last file its going to show up in the one written over it. the more buggy the file gets, the more buggy the game gets, and then it starts overflowing into your other files. do yourself a favor and make new save files, and when your game crashes on a file, make a new save and delete that file. avoid loading autosaves, and make a new save when you do so you wont have to use it as often

incorrect stacking of mods will do that too, make sure you know whats being fucked up by what in which mod. there is also a number of bug fixes that will also enhance performance. I stopped using them because it messed with my custom textures, but you would probably benefit from it.

also, make sure the game is fully updated, and avoid torrenting the game itself. Steam sucks, but usually keeps its game's more stable than most consoles do

I've had it crash twice on my PS3. But that's because I stay in 1st person, don't generally save over a file more than 10-15 times, and didn't have more than 25 save files.

I prefer Fallout 3 anyway.

I do everything you're not suppose to do on my Xbox and I've only had one crash from release.

Not to mention I already tried a good amount of bugfixes. I'm guessing its a faulty/conflicting mod. Fallout 3 only crashes after hours of gameplay so somethings a little fishy. I also got a mod to make it large 4GB address aware, and that might help.

This is a 4gb version of fnvse which is a script extender you need to run alot of mods on vegas without it fucking up and it automatically uses 4gb(make sure you have enough ram genius).
