The ones I'm descended from are mostly european, mostly english, afaik.

But, on my dad's side, I have a cousin who's half american-indian and she has a bunch of kids, one of which is half mexican, and I have 2 other cousins who are half mexican, and their dad is mexican, and I have a cousin who was adopted from korea, and two other adopted cousins who are white.
Oh, but, um, the mexican person who is married to my cousin, he is actually white. So, whatever.

On my mom's side, there's 6 black people, 2 half-black people, one half-mexican, and one some-kind-of-asian person.

Now the half looks really, really weird.

I'm half Italian (dad's side), quarter Danish and a quarter German (mom's). In fact if I was Japanese instead of Danish then I'd be German, Italian and Japanese, aka the human reincarnation of the Axis powers of WWII. I try not to bring this up in casual conversation though.

Eg if someone was Half Turkish, Quarter Samoan and Quarter Greek. It means that:
Mum's mum = Full Turkish
Mum's dad = Full Turkish
Dad's mum = Full Samoan
Dad's dad = Full Greek

My mom's mom's parents are scandanavian. My mom's dad claims that he's descended from quanah parker, which would mean that I am too, but who the hell knows if he's right or telling the truth. My dad's dad was born in oklahoma. My dad's mom was born in oklahoma, too, I think, but her family had come from kentucky, making a stop in texas for some reason. My dad's dad's family went through texas too, from I-don't-know-where. Some great-great-great uncle of mine (uncle, so not an ancestor) came to merca on the 3rd trip of the mayflower, but that doesn't tell me where he came from and I don't know how my ancestors from that family got here, or how any of them got here at all except the scandanavian ones I happen to know just up and moved to merca one day because they felt like it. And someone on my dad's side had a slave, I think it was my grandma's family who lived in kentucky.

So this is how far I can trace it back: Scandanavia, Kentucky, Quanah Parker, some other indian from oklahoma, and a bunch of who-knows-what. Oh, also, my grandpa claims we're part german, and some other stuff I can't remember.

But the only part I really know is the scandanavian, and the kentuckyan.

So, hey, how about I just stop at my parents, who are both from oklahoma? Or how about I just stop at myself? Either way, I'm 100% oklahoman, which is in merca, so I'm mercan. I'm a native american. Hooray.

I see what you mean. My ancestors lived in Siberia and the Caucasus Mountains for centuries, but probably immigrated from somewhere in Spain hundreds of years back. While humans have adapted to all continents besides Antarctica, we're technically native to the Great Rift Valley of Africa.

I know what you mean, no race can be pure. But it's an estimate. I mean, I'm full Greek. But that doesn't really mean I'm composed of %100 Greek cells. I might be %80, %5 Turkish, %10 Slavic and %5 Arab for all I know.

But how do people even know an estimate? I don't. People don't accept "american" as an ethnicity or whatever, so the only thing I know is I'm 1/4 scandanavian, but then I don't know where those great-grandparents' ancestors came from before that. I know that scandanavians have tended to be pure for a long long time, but I don't specifically know that about my great-grandparents, and even if I did, it's still just 1/4 of my ancestry, and it's not like it has any kind of impact whatsoever on my culture.
