To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I support piracy so I was thinking, if people stop paying for games, maybe something like videocard manufacturers will pay the game makers, since otherwise there will be less of a reason to buy that GTX 480.

I think if your computer is old enough to have anything less than 150GB, it's too old to play games anyway so there's nothing to fill up the HDD.

Most of what I got are old roms, Old pc games(Deus ex, fallouts, aracum steam works of magic, modded KOTR 1 and 2, visual novels and a whole bunch of other shit).
Most of the new games nowadays suck so much ass that I don't even want to play them on my modded 360(first it was movies and now its games).
Oh yeah my shoutout to piracy!
Modded ps2, modded psp(Game boy adavance, Snes, Sega genenis, arcade emulator, a Nintendo64 emulator on it), modded wii, modded 360, and a modded Playstation.

It won't be. Just because people stop buying games doesn't mean people will stop making them. There are the people out there who design games because they love doing it not because they want money. They will continue to make games. That said I seriously doubt piracy will sink the video game industry. It's a multibillion dollar business even with people "stealing" the games.

True, but it still costs a lot of money to make games.
I pirate some games, but if I like them enough I'll go back and buy them when I have the money.
I went back and bought actual copies of Bioshock and Oblivion a few weeks back, despite having pirated versions for many many months.

Yeah. There's so many new games coming out lately, and so few that are really appealing. Hell, I don't even keep up with the news about new games. The best games ever are still among the oldest games I have. Diablo 2 and Jagged Alliance 2 - they are among the very, very few games that I keep coming back to over and over.
If developers made less games, that'd be totally cool. Most of the ones they make aren't worth the hard drive space they take up anyway.

When people pirate movies, the movie companies get less money. Which is fine, even good, if it's people that already live in mansions and have yachts, but we are getting stuck with shittier and shittier movies now. Movie companies don't want to take the risk of edgy movies because they might lose money, and piracy is one of the main reasons of that. Because of movie piracy we're getting stuck with more and more crappy sequels and shitty M. Night Shyamalan movies.
