To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

How I Made This Image

First, find a suitable image. As you can see I am using the (hot) Emma Watson. My plan to is to turn her into some sort of emo something or other. I'm not sure. I'm not too up to date on emo fashions so it'll turn out like something cool but not necessarily emo.

One constant thing about emos is the black hair but I suck at turning hair black so I'll skip that ;p Instead I'll start with giving her an MCR shirt. I found the logo and dragged and dropped it into Photoshop. Now I need to edit across her breasts (:droolSmile I rotated it, resized it, and used warp mode to get it just right.

Now steal someones sleeve tattoo and overlay it on Emma. I resized it and moved it around a bit to make sure it covered her arm. Then I used a layer mask to only show the parts on her arm. A layer mask is just another layer you can draw on where black, white, and greys will show different transparencies. It's useful when you don't want to erase something and get rid of it completely.

I added a bunch of layer changing things. I used curves to get a neat dramatic effect. I used hue/saturation to darken it and give a bit of that washed out look. Then I used color balance to reduce the amount of cyan and blue and add more red and yellow.

Two more effects: a gradient at the bottom (to hide the abrupt end of the sleeve tattoo) and some static to give that trendy lo-fi feel.

I cropped it and turned it into a wallpaper (now being used).

My friend's gonna freak out when she sees that. She's like the biggest Harry Potter fan ever., it not even funny. She'll be like " What the hell did he do to HERMIONIE!!!!
