Teachers favouring people

hi again. Now if you havent read my other thread (the war for me is over) read it now

So mrs pomroy was evil, but she still hated those three of us. Part of our evidence was my grades under her and under a teacher i liked

so this is it.

Mrs pomroy:

English: Writing:B
reading:C
listening
Spelling:B
Maths:Number:B
Measurment:B
Chance and data:C
SPace:B
now here with mrs hornstra my year 6 teacher
English: Writing:A
reading:B
Listening:B
Spelling:A
MAths: Number:A
Measurment:A
Chance and data:A
Space:A

Im not going to include other marks because i cant remember them off the top of my head


But take a look at the difference. My sacked teacher obviously graded on how much she liked us and the other teacher graded on skill and enthusiasm.

for example i started tutering and it was quite clear i was at the top of the class everyone even said it.

Maybe she just graded differently? I don't know, there could be a lot of reasons for why your grades got worse, it doesn't have to be, because she hated you.

yeah i suppose she might have marked differently. but i forgot to tell you that my two other friends grades also dropped bedom - sssssss

Most likely you just started sucking. Because its very hard for people to realize that they suck.

And how do you grade there? Because here we just enter grades into the computer for assignment and then we get our grade average.

I don't think it's because she disliked you. Every teacher marks differently. I have some teachers who mark easily, and others who will take away lots of marks for a few spelling mistakes. This can be awfully annoying, because while one teacher may give you a good grade on an assignment, another teacher may give you a lower mark even if it's the same assignment. They all mark differently.

Selective marking is illegal. Use that to your advantage.

I thought grades is based on the judgment of teachers, right? Therefore intellectual honesty places a role in grades. If teachers use grudges, prejudgement, personal hates interfere in grading, then that is just being incompetent and unprofessional in teaching. At the end, don't let a piece of paper prove how good you are.
