To begin with, bullying is extremely common in PE. I remember that social exclusion was always cruellest during PE.
Furthermore, if I'm running, I barely have enough breath to do that, let alone sustain a conversation.
And some of the more authoritarian teachers will make you run/do push ups for ages if you dare to say a word.

No. In some of my classes, I feel like I'm actually learning something (then again, my school isn't as bad as the average American high school). I'm making slower progress than with self-education, but in some of the classes I'm making some. In the others I can daydream, or just do some work I brought in-as long as I'm good at keeping it secret. I can't do that during PE.

Oh, and about the health crap-I always lose weight over the summer and put it back on when school resumes. I go from a lower healthy weight, to as-high-as-you-can-get-without-overweight one.

PE class is simply wrong in principle. You round up a bunch of innocent minors and force them to do pointless, embarrassing, and often painful things. You tell them it's for their own good, and remind them that they really have no choice. Think about it-how would people feel if adults were being forced into this?

Maybe it's 'cause I went to the super rich school, but none of the things we did in PE were pointless, and only rarely embarrassing and painful. At least not in highschool anyway. We did pilates, yoga, meditation, and life guard training, as well as the regular sports routine. Our teachers also spent alot of time teaching us actual nutrition science, such as what cholesterol is, what each vitamin and mineral does for your body, and so on.

I hate PE. When I used to do PE, two girls were punching me in the changing room, one took a pin from her headscarf and stabbed me, the fourth one stole my uniform, three girls swore at me in Polish, PE teacher gave me too many detentions for no reason, eighth girl tried to make me move to a mental illness school, ninth girl kept telling me that my art teacher is dead, people kept spraying, people wore socks during gymnastics, my team always lost because of me, students in other teams were cheating while playing cricket and the girl who stabbed me with a pin also pissed on the floor in the changing room.

I'm glad I'm not doing PE until the 22nd of June. (Or anymore, if I won't have PE on my Year 10 timetable, which would be even better)

I'm from Poland. I was born there. I live in Ireland now, and don't speak polish unless it's to my family. I never really liked that country and I have my own, personal reasons for it. And if I went to a polish school I would've killed myself long ago. I know what it's like there. Worse than what I heard happens in America. And I have a lot of other reasons, but I don't hold anything against Polish people.

The UK is a much more diverse country than you think. Especially London and a few other cities.

I'm Polish. The reason why I swore at the kids in Albanian is because I thought my math teacher won't understand me. She understands Polish swear words, but isn't Polish. She told me that she can swear in many languages when one girl (The one who pissed on the floor in the changing room) swore at me in Polish during maths.
