My US History teacher...

I have been getting very sick of this woman. (this post is so long, but I'm hoping someone is interested in her trying to kill dreams)And on Friday she just said some things that made me wanna walk right out of her class!(we had like 3 minutes left, although I still wish I had)

First of all, she has given us 2 lectures on trying our hardest, because school is a privilege. We don't wanna go having to make soccer balls like those poor kids from.. Venezuela? I don't even remember because I stopped listening to her.

And then on Friday she called a kid over to her desk near the end of class. She was showing him his grade on our first test
"That;s awful. I don;t like saying it, but it really is awful."
And then she looked at his current grades in all of his classes with him
"F, F, F, and a D. So that shows me that you must be really struggling with at least 3 of your classes. But let's look at your grades from last year...Look at that! You did so well last year! What happened between then and now?"
The poor kid: "I don't know-"(he obviously so didn't care. I liked that!)
Teacher: "Don't tell me I don't know. What happened?"
Kid: "I uh, got lazy I guess..."
Teacher: "You got lazy!"
The way she said it was just so... ARGH! He only said it because he could tell that's what she wanted him to say, and her response just confirmed it.

And then they had a nice discussion about the topics.
Kid: "I don;t even need to know most of this stuff anyways! And as a pro-skateboarder you can make a heck of money without college."
Teacher: "Yeah you can. I'm not saying you can't, but what happens if you break your leg or something, and can't skateboard anymore?"
Kid: half-laughing "That would really suck."
Teacher: very-serious "Really. And if I were an agent or whatever I would want to know that my clients were smart and could do something else. Right?
Kid: "Sure"
Teacher: "You gotta graduate! Okay?"
Kid: "Okay."
So eh starts walking back to his seat. Obviously, that wasn;t a word for word quote. My memory sucks, but it should be pretty close. Also at some point she told him about how she doesn;t want to fail him, and knows he's capable. She one of those "do all the work 'cause it's good for you" kinda teachers.

And also, I nearly followed that kid to his seat to tell him to never listen to her, and skateboard however much he damn well pleased. I probably will on Monday, when she isn't hollering in my ear to SIT DOOOOWN.

And another thing she did that kinda aggravated me was when we went through the constitution, she asked "And who is nature's creator" "uh.. god?" "GOD"

Okay, I've ranted about this mad woman. I feel better! ^.^
