To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I just don't know why everyone started to use FER while we haven't voted for anything yet. Besides, I don't think FER is a good name for two reasons:
1/ It uses "revolution" and I said (maybe on that thread actually, I don't remember) that I don't think something with "revolution" will be good, because 1/ it's a strong word 2/ it's quite associated with the extreme left and we don't want to be associated with any political ideology 3/ it implies action while we (in my point of view) should only do information.
2/ "Free"??? come on, everyone will tell you that education is already free: you don't pay for it Biggrin , of course we're not talking about the same "free", modern school doesn't cost anything (or not much): it's free in the sense of gratis, but it's compulsory: it isn't free in the sense of having total liberty about it, hence I don't think using an ambiguous word like "free" would be a good thing.

Nobody really owns it, so the winning name is the one that's used the most. I started using FER because the revolution was going nowhere, we had to get started. You could make a poll, maybe we'll get a better and a more catchy name but for now I'm going to keep trying to grow FER.

Some guy calling himself "hbomb". It was his only post.

Apparently this was ultimately because of me...

I had a couple people helping me to find old IAA/144 people, they've being posting stuff all over, hinting IAA connections since November. Not very many have contacted us though, so I doubt we can start it back up...

I think Buenaventura Durruti is a pretty cool guy. eh kills fascists and doesnt afraid of ruins.

I've got Photoshop skills, I don't use Photoshop anymore though, GIMP is almost as good and it's free.
