To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I remember when I was still in high school, they held like a secret thing where you could send people flowers and shit on valentines day with revealing your name to your "secret crush". I NEVER GOT A DAMN THING.

I lol'd when some fuck ugly guy in my class got a whole bunch of flowers. With notes that had the same handwriting. His.

Anyway, I kinda like this holiday, it's funny to see how weird people get when you give them a rose. As in a flower. The color of fucking blood. I mean seriously what the fuck?

Valentines day SUCKS. I used to like it. Middle/High school ruined that for me. Now to me, its just a day where people buy gifts that cost $Over 9000 and EVERYONE on the planet is forceably, excruciatingly, sickeningly, happy. For me, Valentines Day is a normal day, and nothing more.

It was awesome in Elementary school because you'd get a shitload of candy from everyone. But in high school it meant sitting in a homeroom full of people who had all been given anonymous roses through the school's valentines day program. Cupid likes rubbing it in people's faces. I want to go Dick Cheney on that little flying fatass.

EXACTLY. VD is one of the most depressing days of the year for me. Nothing like being reminded that I've never had a girlfriend before and for that matter have never even had a girl express some sort of interest in me (except for "OMG, she likes you. PSYCH! Just kidding! *lol*" type jokes. I believe that we named them "giggletards" a while back). Now I get to watch commercials about VD and I get to work at my shitty close to min. wage job on VD. In doing so, having to go outside and watch almost everybody holding hands or holding roses.

I'm a jealous motherfucker, but rightfully so.
