Evaluation of Effectiveness of Fit/Well Exercise Program
By: Amber Howell

The activities I fabricated for my exercise plan most paralleled my interests in sports and my fitness requisites; these activities create a desired work out plan for myself and will sustain my interest throughout the entire thirteen week program. For several of the activities that I had flexibility with in selecting I choose activities that I would find delightful to my liking or would be of interesting to me: soccer, bicycling, calisthenics, and swimming. Less attractive endeavors for cardiovascular would be successful because of my current obligations to walk my dog everyday; this responsibility ensures that I keep to my fitness plan for wearisome pastimes -- such as jogging. I adopted water-related activities for the sweltering month of August; thus, I can snicker at the fruitless efforts of my fellow Fitness and Wellness comrades as they exhaust themselves in 98 degree weather. I also constructed an exercise program that did not necessitate for activities that did not endure for a sustained amount of time. An hour, or a few minutes longer, is all that is sanctioned for each day; this erects a plan that is manageable in both time and intensity.

The activities I chose for my exercise plan are based on my interests in sports and my fitness needs; these activities create an ideal workout plan for myself an will sustain my interest thought the thirteen week program. For the activities I had flexibility in selecting, I chose activities that were enjoyable for me: soccer, bicycling, calisthenics, and swimming. Though I find cardiovascular activities, like jogging, less attractive, I will combine them with my ongoing obligation to walk my dog, and thereby make it less difficult to stick to my activity plan. I also chose water activities for the month of August; this will allow me to stay cool and not forfeit my exercise program. Another part of the program I constructed to make it easier, was to choose activities that did not exceed more then an hour each day. This allowed me to work a reasonable amount of time everyday at a reasonable rate.
