Alright so I just had an idea, why don't we do a succession game of sorts with Nethack? I feel like this could be a fun and interesting experience.
How this will work:
A group of people can sign up for the succession game, which ends when the game is won or if the character dies(with some exceptions), it starts with one person who creates the character(details are decided by the group prior to the start), and the game beings. A forum thread is then made to document the progress of the game and each turn. After a certain amount of floors or at a certain player level or point the game is saved, and the save is sent to the next person in line. This continues until the list is over, afterwards it restarts until one of the two ending conditions are met.
Exceptions:
The first three 'turns' of a game may use SaveScumming in order to prevent the game from ending too quickly, the first turn may just restart the game completely though.
So yeah. I have no idea how well this will work, but I dunno why not at least try it.

Never played Nethack(though I think it's time I do. Sounds fun). Not entirely sure what yer saying in reference to it.

didnt get around to it. my progression down the path to older games was a bit slow.
