I remember a couple of you guys expressing interest in this game in the IRC. If you want to download it and hop on, I'd be glad to play with you.

Perhaps. I think I need to re-install my Steam though.

I love that game and I sometimes play like every day. What game mode you guys play? I always play cp_foundry or sometimes payload.

Wish my PC was powerful enough.

1.86 GHz processor, 3.00 GBs of RAM, I don't know what graphics processor I have, but my PC was bought in 2005 with Windows XP, switched to 7 (wish I didn't; 7 is less stable than XP.)

I'd imagine that'd be enough to at least get it running on low settings...

Team Fortress 2 - Trar - 03-13-2014 03:56 PM

I run it decently enough with medium settings. 4 GB RAM, 2.3 GHz, i3 dualcore with 2 threads each. To be fair, the developers have kept periodically adding cosmetic items every so often for at least the last three years or so which means the game's performance has degraded over time, but there are various tweaks you can perform to get a good framerate. Although kfcnyancat's computer seems powerful enough to run it like I can, so perhaps it's a problem with his existing system. Clearing up space, cleaning out the computer (try CCleaner, and if possible do a literal cleaning so the hardware works better) and using performance tweaks might solve his problems.

To wit: I've spent more time playing the game than I probably should have, recently and for the past three years. That blue screen of death after I shotgunned a meddling Spy was probably a sign. Either that, or the Spies are getting more and more devious.

I'm still open to game with fellow SSers, by the way.

Eh. I might actually give this game another chance as I recently learned it runs on Linux (yeah, fuck me, right?).
