i'm impressed by your work and passion.

i think we are on the same wavelength as far as connecting abuse and lots of problems later. here at eqi.org we kind of specialize in teen suicide prevention and we see the cause / effect relationship very clearly. (but it seems society doesn't want to see this connection)


we have helped compile a book of letters from depressed, self harming teens. maybe it can help you in your work in some way.

I'm fucking sick of the various mindsets that come with political debate. There's the Right, who thinks that because their opinions make sense to them, they are fact. Then there's the Left, who think that opinions should be just as respected as the person holding them. I'm also sick of the mental gymnastics.

Of course, I see it more on the Right, because of my own mental gymnastics that come with a human brain. So, all of my examples will come from debates with the Right. I'm sure this happens with the Left, too.

First, a debate about Facism, with my old friend, Liberal Logic 101. He said that Facism was made up by the Left to deamonize the Right. Proof of this is that it has no real definition. I posted this one:

a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized government headed by a leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.

He replied by saying that if you replaced "nation" with "world", and "leader" with "oligarchy", you have explained the Democratic Party. Therefore, the definition is fake. Really? If that explains the Democrats, then you see the world through rose tinted glasses.

The second one is about the validity of the Big Bang Theory. LL101 was talking about how the Big Bang is a creation story, akin to Genesis. I responded to him, talking about the facts and evidence that point towards the BBT, and he responded, and I quote:

"It's been constructed from wishes, dreams, and fairy tales. It's all a part of the Religon of Evolution, and pretending it's science makes you look naive."

THIS is a valid response? He didn't add anything to the conversation. He didn't address the validity of my claims. He literally took my claims, threw them out the window on no valid grounds, and then insulted me. And don't get me started on "The Religon of Evolution".

Third, I don't have any debates for this one, but it's something I hear a lot. Conservatives HATE the idea of their kids becoming indoctrinated by Liberals (which is something I agree with), but they dish it out all the time. For example, they complain when their kids come home with a book with homosexual parents in it, but they're not afraid to make books where a family prays for homosexual parents. I've seen comments that say raising Liberal children is indoctrination, but raising Conservative children is good parenting. CAN'T YOU SEE THE DOUBLE STANDARD!!

Whew, that calmed me down. Maybe it wasn't a vent per se, but it did free me of pent up rage. If you made it this far, thank you.]]>

It has gotten to the point where a chip was put inside everyone's brain. It's advertised that it connects the brain to the internet (which it does) so you can pull up whatever information you want by thinking about it.

But that's not the main purpose of this chip. It basically distracts you with information and "edits reality". For example, there are advanced cameras in every room, but the chip makes sure that you don't notice them. If you criticize the government in your thoughts, it will tell you what's on television and makes you forget.

But, there's this teenager named Lewis. He a normal, somewhat angst filled kid, except for one thing; He loves logic. He's obsessed with tying to make sense of the world. Of course, the chip tries to stop him, but Lewis continues on. After sixteen years of accelerated wear, the chip shorts out. The rose tinted glasses fell off. And he strives to make sense of it once again.
