To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I'm going to make a video soon. I'll write some of my own ambient kind of music for it, so they can't take it down because of that. I also plan on using Newtown's essay ( http://www.school-survival.net/forums/vi...=1&t=14546) spoken into a microphone, and a series of pictures like rebelnerds.

I should mention that the audio detection is automatic. Youtube employees don't check them individually.

Well, our first video got 789 views... yeah, it doesn't seem like too many people are going to see this. I'm pretty sure a good part of these views are SS members as well.

SS (the site) took a month to accumulate 89 views, and this video gets 789 in what, under 5 days? That's not bad for a first attempt. Imagine if we had 10 videos that all got 789 views in 5 days. That adds up.

actually, we did incredibly good. we got about 500 views in the first 48 hours or so.

If some of the videos start getting linked to, passed around, twittered, blogged, etc., more people will see them outside of the SS world. Also, they might pop up as "related" vids on youtube.
Once we get a good set of videos together, or even before then, I suggest putting them on some smaller video sharing sites. They'll be more likely to be found on sites without billions of videos.
But wherever they're hosted, they will need some promotion.
Step 1 though, more vids! I'm also going to put one together...

I have a pretty good movie making program, so maybe I'll put one together over the weekend if I have time... I'll probably never get around to it though. But if I do, it'll probably be on the evils of exams.
The first vid is really working though!

I can animate... computer animation, 3d but I can make it look like 2d or cartoon. I can put the sound together too, I believe.
