help me write a rap about nationalism

I have to write a rap/song about a prechosen topic for history. Worst of all, I have to record this later and the whole class will get to listen to it This is apparently supposed to help us 'study' for our final exams... Anyways, I wrote a bit about Indian nationalism.

But I think I should write add some rap about nationalism in general/key nationalism concepts.. and I have to do a chorus.

Any ideas/suggestions? This is what I have so far:

great britain took over the nation of India
took their rights took their pride
the indians were hungry all the time
cholera malaria thanks to british policy
then the sepoys mutinied in 1857
followed by the people
but it sure wasn't heaven
lots of blood was shed
hindus and muslims
their hearts united as one
yet britain beat them with a fist of lead
but not all was lost for a revolution had begun
in 1919 a protest was held in the city of Amritsar
no weapons no malice nothing that glistens
troops came in and guess what happened
they suppress their pity and simply shoot 'em

well, my first suggestion would be to give a rhyme scheme. If its not i rhyme it aint worth a dime.
But its a good concept, so keep working on it and it could be pretty dope.

So I think I'm doing a,b,a,b and sometimes a,a,b,b , and a completely different r. scheme one or two times.

Also, I'm still having trouble thinking about general nationalism/rap chorus..anyone know any basic nationalism idea, maybe a rap?

I think that's about the stupidest project I've ever heard. Really. The only thing more unbearable that mandatory schooling is writing a bloody rap song for it.

I was panicking because I had send in the rough draft of lyrics (procrastination ) Luckily I emailed it only 5 minutes late. Thanks for the help guys.

It looks a bit short though. Would a 20-30 sec intro of random crap be too much for a two minute (minimum length) song?

Allied vs. axis power vs. power weapons vs. weapons
India helps the allied -troops were sent over the ocean
The people produced supplies and food-this was India’s war essence

Ghandi protested launched the Quit India movement
Britain didn’t like it so they jailed the congress leaders
The war ended in 1945, leaders were freed it was a fine moment
Negotiations resumed but violence ensued it was hopeless said debaters

Hindus and Muslims rioted against each other
Finally in 1947, independence came along
India for Hindus Pakistan for Muslims- not much better
But they were free at last from a colonial power that didn’t belong

I don't think I'm in a position to scrutinize anyone around here since I'm new. Except, firstly, even I can see this is off topic. Secondly, this person has posted this 'poem' on another thread. Thirdly, I don't think this person sees the real purpose of this forum, judging by their spelling. Finally, by looking at his/her signature, it is no wonder why school is compulsory!
