RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017

The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.

If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.

To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

-SoulRiser

Student pwned by teacher

In my CAD class, there's this really annoying kid. It's the most perverted, fucked-up guy I know. Even more perverted and fucked-up than I am. Of the many things that he's done, here are some that top the list:
- Engaging in a discussion of sex moves with two seniors that sit by him. He talked about sex moves I've never even heard of - one being the "icy dragon", where you "jizz into a cup and a girl takes a shit and you mix the shit and the jizz and drink it".
- Purposely farting very loudly while making sex noises.
- Telling random people to "stop touching [his] penis".
He's not retarded, he just has the mentality of a 6-year-old /b/tard.

Anyways, today, he announced, "my butthole exploded in a fountain of poop". After tolerating that guy's immaturity since the beginning of the year, he threatened to send him to the dean. He replied by apologizing, and the teacher replied to that with, "no, I'm sorry. I'm sorry you're in my class. I'm sorry you haven't matured at all since September. I'm sorry I have to put up with your behavior every day, and I'm sorry that you're probably in my advanced class next year."

tl;dr people: basically, my teacher said what everyone was thinking.

"I heard a joke once. Man goes to doctor says "I'm terribly depressed". Doctor says "I know just what you should do. Poliacci the clown is in town, go see him, you'll be cheered right up." The man bursts into tears. "But Doctor, I am Poliacci." Funny joke. Roll on snare drum. Everyone laugh."

Re: Student pwned by teacher

Teachers arn't all evil all the time. Smile

I really hate kids like that. Honestly, nobody wants to hear that stuff. It's not even funny, no matter what context you put it in. And really, it's even hard to believe that people actually do that. You'd get really, really, ill if you attempted to perform this "Icy Dragon", so logic beats it out that way.

But anyway, on an everyday basis, that stuff transcends the line between annoying and suicidal. It's ashame nobody's fist was introduced to his face this year. Anyhow, the teacher really hit the nail on the head, I think. Did the student like the teacher at all, or were they enemies? The teachers comments would sting more if the kid actually admired the teacher, and it would be all the sweeter.

The only other thing which could have really made that situation all the cooler would be the entire class erupting into applause at the teachers comments. Smile But what did the kid do afterward? Did he shut up? Or better, cry? Twisted

Though, there's another aspect to this which makes it less cool. The teacher held on until now to say it. Seriously, he should have said it a few months into the year, and then taken drastic action by writing the kid up every time he became disgustingly obnoxious. Sometimes, the best thing to do is to just kick an annoying ass in the butt. It's the only way to get them to change.

i know a kid like that. he's pretty populer at my school in a way. but anyways i think its funny the teacher snaped on him. but for all we know he does this to get teachers mad.

life is just blah blah blah. we hope for blah, and sometimes we find it. but mostly its blah. and waiting for blah. and hoping you were right about the blahs you made. and when you think you just got the whole blah damn thing figured out, and your surrounded by the ones you blah. death shows up and blah blah blah.

Wow - he is more perverted than you.

Seriously though, nobody wants to listen to that in school every day. It sounds likle one of our sex ed lessons.
