To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

So... Ron Paul 2012.
I'd vote for him. He's better than the majority of the other ass hats that are trying to run. A lot of people say he's crazy and his ideas are too radical. They also say he's not pragmatic enough. I call bullshit. He's been in congress for a long fucking time, and has tons of fucking experience. Obviously he knows what the hell he's doing.
Also, we need to avert the economic disasters we're about to get fucked by somehow...

I gotta admit, he does seem like a better candidate than just about all other Republicans who have been brought up.
This thread also reminded me of this L4D2 game I had last week where one guy's name was "Ron Paul 2012" and his spray and profile pic were Ron Paul. I dunno if he was serious or trolling, but it was lulzy.

I'm registered independent and I voted for Barack Obizzle shizzle mah nizzle. After being frustrated that he didn't do shit I began doing research into shit about politics and forms of government... then realized no government is my favorite and then did research into different types of stateless societies.

So I did some research on him. I've got to say I'm rather impressed. I agree with his stances on pretty much everything excluding abortion and withdrawing from the UN and NATO. I don't like his opposition to federal healthcare but I don't have much problem with that seeing as he supports restructuring the current system.
I particularly like his stance on the Patriot Act, He took a stand against it in '01 and did the same when it came up for renewal (It unfortunately passed)
He also supports legalization of all narcotics for personal use. People may mock him for this but he knows what he is talking about. He may be republican and "Conservative" but with the direction the nation is going in at the moment drastic problems call for drastic measures, and I think this guy is just what our country needs right now.
If he does get the nomination I'll definitely be voting for him. Though I still like Obama and you gotta give him credit for what he's done having to fight the house, He just hasn't done enough. I think Paul can get the backing of the republican house and can get shit done. Assuming they can keep a hold of their seats.

Actually, yes he is. He announced it a couple of days ago. Hopefully he wins in the primaries.
Sure, I disagree with some of his stances, but the way I figure it, I agree with more of his stances and he makes more sense than any of the other candidates, so I'll vote for him...

Anybody watch the presidential debate? I think he did pretty well, although, they weren't asking the right questions. He's got a chance to win the primary. I guess we'll see in the weeks to come.

People make such a big deal out of jury duty. When you go in to be interviewed just make some offhand comment about how you hate criminals and think they all need to get punished. Something that sounds bias. They'll give you the boot pretty fast.

I can't vote yet but I have opinions.
I thought Obama was the best canidate (these little racist fucks at my school need to stop hating on him because he is black/democratic. He's probably one of the better picks. Besides, George killed our economy. Stop blaming the black)
I didn't really look into it though so I should check out Ron Paul. But I doubt he will win.
