RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017
The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.
-SoulRiser

Any ssfags fans? I freaking love this show. It's my new favorite next to Heros. to bad the PTC assholes had to block it from getting aired on broadband. bastards. >.< I have to wait so I can get the series in a box.

Re: Last sentence made me rage
I've seen a commercial, but you know how those are, all eye candy. So no, no idea what it's about, just that it looks kickass and I remember wanting to watch it.

Re: Last sentence made me rage
It's a series that follows a serial killer. He works as blood spatter analyst for the Miami police.

Oh, that owns. So, it's another one of those stories where you root for the sick fuck to win? I love those!

Sounds cool. Unfortunately, the serial killer usually loses and dies. I hate tv morals.

Re: Dexter
Yeah. I borrowed the first season from my friend who had the box set. I'm getting the rest of them off the pirate bay as we speak. :D

Re: Dexter
It looks really cool, I haven't seen it though.

Hehe yeah. That's actually the reason it didn't get put on broadband. Some asshole group called PTC (a group of soccer moms with sand in their vaginas) or something wrote to CBS to flap their ape mouths about how it's bad and that you "root for the serial criminal to win" (which is the point and why it kicks so much ass) so CBS decided to pull PR with a small group of assholes instead of releasing it to a shitload of potential viewers.
But whatever I'll just pirate it and watch it without commercials or paying for it

Re: Dexter
Dexter has such an awesome dad. I would tell him the same thing. At first I thought Dexter would be a sick fuck, but I have to say, I love how he turns a bad situation into something good, especially when it's actually natural to kill. It happens in nature all the time.
My respect level for Dexter is extremely high, is this bad?

Re: Last sentence made me rage
It's not even that bad, at least he's teaching children that if you get an urge to kill, at least go out and kill the REALLY sick fucks. I personally applaud his work.
I should move this to the Dexter forum. But it's my thread and I honestly don't care what happens to it, so I wont bother. IF someone else wants to do it, then fine by me. I'd much rather go back to watching Dexter.

Psssh, who said anything about helping?
Anyway, I'm on episode four. I love this guy. Why does he look like Shawn Spencer from Psych?
