To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I hate when people say they're gonna do something and don't do it. They make speeches, that's all they do. They're always quick to find flaws in something (Like work, school, government, etc), but won't give any plausible, realistic alternatives.
I bold those because, yes you can give up some alternatives, but its not a guarantee it'll work.

You're determined to see them as mindless rants because that's your defense mechanism. It's easier to block them out as mindless rants than actually read them and see how well they knock down your own arguments.

Absent did make some points, but potential was squashed with the excessive cursing (Makes a point less valid or one worth listing to) and him dodging the question where the poster brought up the point of the teachers and what they have to go through on a daily basis .

I think you're stretching the analogy just a bit there; fire fighting foam isn't a replacement for anything in that once the fire is out, it doesn't serve any purpose.
But more straightforwardly, not all institutions are necessary, and if an unecessary institution causes more problems than it is worth, abolishing that institution (while not necessarily simple) can be a solution in itself, no alternatives required.

That was addressed but I will address it as a sub that had to deal with a fucking horrible class.
I found that this class and the fact that they would not listen to me for shit... the fact that they disrespected me because I showed respect... that they took advantage because I wasn't a totalitarian bastard... it just showed how fucked the system actually is... if someone is forced in a system that requires the teachers to be disrespectful assholes who have to work insanely hard just to get the kids to listen to the often irrelevant lessons... then there is something wrong...

Heck all of society is controlled and motivated by fear whether it be punishment, overblown consequences or whatever else. Tickets, fines and the like its so crazy that its ridiculous and in this country its so easy to get arrested. Heck even my parents and adults all believe they have to threaten me and the like to garner respect without showing me any(and I'm 23).
Then again only power is truly respected.

Oh I agree. I believe part of the problem is excessive use of punishment for raising children. People then grow up needing it unless that have their own mental revolution and liberate themselves from needing punishments and threats to not harm others (luckily it happened for me otherwise I wouldn't be here... I'd be an idiot)
Also imo the problem with respect for power is that it is fickle... people will attack you when they sense weakness. Respect for someone because you like them and they are genuinely a good person... and yes maybe strong and skilled (but more admiration than fear) is a much stronger form of respect that I feel will benefit both parties.
