To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

They tried to make me shave with a used dull razor.
Our school has a strict no-beard policy (Individualism ftl, I suppose), and I've gone a few days without shaving so I was a little scruffy, and during lunch today our douchebag principle called me into his office and told me I needed to shave - he handed me an used dull razor and told me to go to the bathroom and shave. I refused because of the possible health risks of sharing razors, because people do sometimes bleed when they shave. I'm now suspended for three days for not obeying the rules.
That's bullshit, and how is it even legal to expect a kid to shave with a used razor?
I'm reporting my school to the health department.

The school would be liable for any serious health issues resulting from such an act.
My school, as lawless as it is, is surprisingly open-minded. I have an openly gay friend and no one has beaten him up or insulted him. He has even worn shirts promoting tolerance of homosexuality and the school administrators have not punished him for it. Also, one of the teachers has a beard that reaches his chest.
I do not understand why any school would refuse to tolerate a little facial hair.

Our school claims that facial hair is "distracting".
In reply to this I say... Wait, what?
Excluding the possibility of some guys with 2 feet long beards, have ANY of you been so fascinated by someone's facial hair to the point where you were unable to complete your work like you normally can?
And teachers are allowed to have facial hair. Considering it's a requirement (for sheep that follow the rules) to pay attention, and thus look at the teacher, you figure the beard would be more distracting when they have one.
The same goes for piercings, dyed hair, etc which is also banned. What happened to that being a decision made between the parents and the child?
