RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017

The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.

If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.

To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

-SoulRiser

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. My contact details are here.

Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.

Ugly People: My first schoolards (big rant)

I'm sorry for writing and posting this post, somehow. It all needed to go...

Usually I asked: "Say, if school is a right, why is it an obligation to go?"
And got as an answer: "You need school to learn to read."
First I didn't learn to read in school, and that doesn't answer the question: "Why is it called a right if it's an obligation?"
And you say: "Look, that girl don't know how to read!"
To our superior of the place where school force me to work for the week, and I'm not getting paid.
And I try to correct you: "I know how to read?!"
"But she told me she don't!"
"I just told you I didn't learn in school!"
"See!"
You dumbass, what don't you understand? I didn't learn to read in school; it's not in school that I learned to read. It just mean, I didn't learn to read in school... School is not the place where I learned to read! Why do you just hear "I didn't learn to read"?
"You can't learn to read outside school, without school!" says the teacher.
And he ask, not to the class, but to one kid: "Where did you learn to read?"
"In school." "See, nobody can learn to read outside school!"
Oh boy.
I'm in school nurse's office, getting insulted. So it goes, and it goes, that's what they do when you had a panic attack because of them. They can't let you go outside, despite you have nothing more on your school schedule, in a safe place where nobody grip your arm against your will saying "See? I've strength!", or call you names, to run away from them... because they are here to "protect" you, and you "can't calm yourself on your own" -- they're in your head, knowing (how you deal with) your emotions and feelings... NO! So let's aggravate your emotional state. They'll call your mom, and the SAMU, and say to the SAMU dude: "She's in a sect." Bigeek
So to this nurse I tried to talk about school. Because she asked, and I'm not a liar.
"Before school, kids were forced to work!"
Oh boy, you're stupid.
Embarrassed

--
And as a bonus:
"You should be happy to be forced to go to school. Some people can't, and would like to."
Later: "You should be happy, when you get sexually harrassed that way. There are girls to whom it NE-VER happen." (oh my, I could be in that case, you mean? never getting harassed, oh so sad, the poor girls.) (hey, these girls just want people to tell them they are pretty, not to get forced to do stuffs; the kids just want to be able to go to school, not be forced to.)

(That thing with the school nurse and principal, they also dragged me on the floor, then when I rolled they called two other persons to force me up, taking my feet and arms, like a sort of people powered air-rack. They obeyed without asking anything, like it was a pretty casual thing to do, and one even of them called me ridiculous. With lot of contempt and despiseness... I did panic attacks a lot after that thinking back of it... And was grounded, told off and slapped for that. It was my fault after all. You should have seen the school nurse hurling "She is an anarchist" when seeing me after being called in to bring me back to my class. The worse is, I'm not: that's the random name she give to people she hate.)
(All that because I did a joke on illuminatis, like EVERY FUCKING BODY DID BACK IN TIME. And, mind you, they "are open-minded: there are Jehovah's witnesses going in that school." Not because school is mandatory, of course, and not like the school would be in mud if they asked the JW to go somewhere else. If this all makes no sense, it's because you weren't there. Just wanting to talk about it.)
(And school nurses are not qualified to diagnose that kind of things, dear people at the school head. Especially without having ever seen the pupil.)

Atleast you an see past the lies and bullshit of school. Atleast you are smarter than your teachers. They will never agree with you, it's a fight that you can't win.

Calra Franklin is possibly a whore. She does need to fuck off, though. I don't sue Facebook when someone insults me on Facebook.

You are free to do as you are told.

"You are free to say what you want, as long as it doesn't offend anyone." Me

Dear Society,
Don't like gay marriage? Don't get one. Don't like abortions? Don't get one. Don't like drugs? Don't do them. Don't like sex? Don't have it. Don't like your rights taken away? Don't take away anyone else's.
Sincerely, be glad we're all different.

If anyone wants to be my penpal or something like that or just wants to talk hit me up.

What a bunch of pathetic miserable fucktards. Words cannot express how immensely retarded those filthy scumbags are. They treated you like if you were some kind of terrorist, which, from what I've read here, you do not seem to be. And that school nurse is just plain stupid.

In conclusion, all the school staff morons who treated you like a terrorist deserve nothing more than to be crushed under the treads of an armored tank until their organs blow up, shot with a vulcan minigun until their head explodes, blasted in the genitals by a rocket launcher, have their ass burnt alive with a flamethrower and, finally, to be thrown into the Large Hadron Collider in order to be erased from existence once and for all.

I know the description above is extremely exaggerated, but it should get my point across.

"Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly." - Albert Einstein

"Within a few years a simple and inexpensive device, readily carried about, will enable one to receive on land or sea the principal news, to hear a speech, a lecture, a song or play of a musical instrument, conveyed from any other region of the globe." - Nikola Tesla

Take happiness in the fact that you are probably smarter than most of the staff.

Biggrin Pleasurable.
Thanks for the "distance support". I needed to speak about that since a long time.
