To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I just HATE this
When the difficulty level is fake, that is. You get nothing, no better AI, no thought-requiring situations, just numbers numbers numbers. The weakest enemy in the game has a weapon that can kill you right away, but doesn't dodge when you literally come upon and stick a grenade into his face. And the wonderful auto-saves triggering right before you die, or leaving you in a situation with no ammo and 1 health(Halo lol).
And the worst thing that happens, the AI going hivemind against you just so you lose/fail, not caring if it wins or not - even if bots are supposed to compete as well, they just team up on you. I already noticed in NfS games that bots can fuck up the whole race, make a big car crash just so you get caught in it and some other loser wins magically. Or in a lot of FPS games, the enemies don't take advantage of the fact that you're alone, they don't use tactics - they aimbot and kamikaze only.
But I refuse to play below hard. Fuck's sake, the game is always more interesting and longer if you're forced to find ways around stuff just to get through.

The game... fuck.
I hate that too. I swear, the games fuck you over just for lulz sometimes. I wanted to kill myself when I was playing Fallout 3, I had no ammo, no stinpaks, maybe a breadroll, next to no health, and I couldn't even leave until I saved that one idiot ass. And that one dude had to die because I had no stinpaks, so I got depressed.
And I wish the hard setting meant more than giving them godlike stats. I'm a gaming masochist.

Well, even in old games it meant more. I'm all for being outnunmbered and challenged but being one-hitted by something I can't see(FUCKING HALO) is outright retarded.

Which is why I only play on the two highest difficulty levels on SOCOM: Tactical Strike.

Same with Fallout 3. If I had more experience with FPS and actually knew something about guns, I'd probably be playing on Very Hard. But, as it stands, it's near impossible for me, and It's not my game, so I don't want to take forever.

On Ensign (Easy) and Lieutenant (Normal) difficulties snipers don't pose much of a threat, but the damage they can inflict really goes up with difficulty.

Try having enemies respawn after you kill them and they know where you are and are faster and hurt more.
