RIP School Survival Forums
August 2001 - June 2017

The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.

If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.

To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

-SoulRiser

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 13-

Winds howling,
Flames advancing.

People running, others screaming.
Buildings crumbling, flags burning.

Deceit, Lies, and Greed.
All around, showing their mistakes.

Tried to tell them, too late now.
Another place destroyed under the grip of fear.

Day 14-

Time so short.
Time so little.

Time so precious.
Time so sacred.

Time so scarce.
Time is up.

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 15-

Silence -
Sweet and Everlasting.
It gives us hope.
Always with us.
Blissfully forever here.

---------

Day 16-

Look into a dog's eyes,
And a thousand lives look back.

Happiness, Sorrow, Wonder.
All shown in timeless harmony.

It's seen a thousand things, learned a thousand more.
It's life lived to the fullest, the elder rests now.

Memories seen, memories reflected.
Memories passed on, to countless generations.

Day 17-

Home...
That's what that place was called.

Serenity.
No fighting or conflict.

Peace.
Comfort and love throughout.

Sanctuary.
A beacon of light in a world of darkness.

Bliss.
Sweet dreams, may they never end.

Day 18-

Swift, quick, and merciless.
Striking without regret.

Punishing the opposition.
Upholding order in a land of tyranny.

Stamping out injustice,
The banhammer will come.

Day 19-

Once a great memory
Now a great sorrow.

Happiness, Joy, Love.
Turned to pain, left none standing.

Emptiness filling,
Nothing left to give.

Where to go now?
Only one direction.

Day 20-

Angels falling.
Bodies burning.

Buildings crumble.
Cities fall.

Echoes on the wind,
Emptiness on the streets.

The beginning of something new,
and the end of something different.

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 21-

No more fighting,
and no more chances.

Walk alone now,
endless wonder lie ahead.

Wreckage of life lie behind,
Look to the future, not to the past.

Finding nothing, Still more to see.
Road to nowhere.

Re: Pieman's NaPo

For today's entry I wrote...a song! Razz Tell me how I did. The genre is Metal for all of you with a CD Player in your head.

Day 22-

[Verse 1]
Stop it now, let it be.
The war is over, can't you see?

No more blood, and
No more tears.

We've been fighting, for
A thousand years.

[Pre-Chorus]
Lost cause, failed actions.
Your lies, your creation.

[Chorus]
How many more will there be?
How many more until you see?
What will it take for you to know?
This isn't right, you've got to Let It Go. (Let It Go )x2

[Verse 2]
Chasing you, through the dark.
Looking for that saving spark.

You run, you run, you try to hide.
It just keeps feeding on what you confide.

[Pre-Chorus]
Decisions fleeting, Sorrow and woe.
Nowhere to run, No-where to go.

[Chorus]
How many more will there be?
How many more until you see?
What will it take for you to know?
This isn't right, you've got to Let It Go. (Let It Go )x2

[Insert your own Instrumental or Guitar solo here]

[Verse 3]
Where will they go when,
The winds stop screaming?

Nothing like Hell to
make them stop dreaming...

[Pre-Chorus]
Regret nothing, Don't look back.
Think you'll be safe from their fatal attack.

[Chorus]
How many more will there be?
How many more until you see?
What will it take for you to know?
This isn't right, you've got to Let It Go. (Let It Go )x2

[Bridge]
When there's nothing left,
you might believe.

The price of your triumph,
see them grieve.

No more to give, no more to take.
Now maybe......

[Chorus]
How many more will there be?
How many more until you see?
What will it take for you to know?
This isn't right! you've got to Let It Go. (Let It Go)

You've got to Let It Go. (Let It Go)
Just, Let It Go.

Let It Go...

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 23-

Walking in the darkness, we plead.
Pray for the light, find our way out.

Lost ambitions of the past,
Cast away to naught.

Memories fade, time forgets.
Forget who we are, Forget ourselves.

Reach your ultimatum,
Reach your reason.

" I never knew until that moment how bad it could hurt to lose something you never really had. " ~From the television show The Wonder Years

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 24-

Trapped in it's clutches, you writhe.
Run, run, try and hide.

No more logic, only tears.
Keep you entangled, nothing left now.

Slow killing poison, Most addictive drug.
Draw you in, Deceit and false promises.

Hit you like a freight train,
Reveal true form, full of lies.

Only pain returns now,
Love will be the end of you.

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 25-

Silent end.
Destroyed scene.

Nothing said.
Nothing needed.

Chain of memories, broken.
Hope once grasped, turned to despair.

Time failing, Pain sinking.
Tears tell the story, Be not regretful.

Gone is the light,
The pathway unclear now.

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 26-

Is there an end?
What to do now..

Time's broken...
Lines faded, Rules shattered.

Pain reoccurring, Waves never ceasing.
A torrent of no regret, Lost feelings flow.

Just a pawn, and nothing more...
It carries on even longer.

Play your game,
Just your sacrifice.

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 27-

When does it stop...
This pain of all pains?

The havoc wreaked upon me.
Turning life upside down.

How many times will I be reminded,
That the light is gone?

And when will I finally give,
To this everlasting heartache...

" I never knew until that moment how bad it could hurt to lose something you never really had. " ~From the television show The Wonder Years

Re: Pieman's NaPo

Day 28-

Almost defeated,
Almost gone.

Found something left,
One more thing to fight for.

A second wind,
A new life.

This will be a victory.
I will not fail.

------------

Day 29-

Quiet day.
Wondering future.

Wait will be short.
Decision ever important.

Nervous but confident.
Determined and ready.

Now we play the waiting game.
Soon it will be decided.

Re: Pieman's NaPo

It's the last day of National Poetry Month! I wonder who's left..

Day 30-

Winding down,
Curtain close.

One year more,
Art and creativity abound.

Stories told, thoughts heard.
This National Poetry Month was,
Something great indeed!
