A friend of mine gave me a link to watch this and its a scene from a movie titled Barefoot Gen.

Its GRAPHIC BUT HISTORICALLY ACCURATE. Written and lived by a survivor.

Its hiroshima being bombed.

It was pretty interesting and showed that nobody truly wins in a war except the bastards who get profits from it.

I love how there are still a shitload of people who say that we "had to" use the nuke because an invasion would have cost a million American lives, even though it's a recorded historical fact that they made that number up. It was loosely based on casualty reports from Okinawa where we were up against the best trained troops in the Imperial Army. Japan had nothing by the time the nukes were used. Absolutely nothing. Their guns were made of such weak steel that they'd often blow up in the users' faces. Tokyo was a field of ash from the firebombing. They were actually trying to fuel kamikaze planes with pine sap because there was no oil left. Kids were being told to fight off the invaders with bamboo sticks. We chose Hiroshima because it was one of the only cities left.A full US invasion would have crushed them in days. But of course we needed to sent the Russians a message to keep their filthy Red hands off Japan, so we came up with an excuse to use the nukes.
Yet there are still people today who repeat the "an invasion would have been to costly line," a WWII propaganda slogan, as fact. There was no excuse for using atomic bombs on civilian cities.

Exactly. The allied forces would of had to kill every damn citizen who had been brainwashed, which would lead to many more deaths. Plus, that would give time for the Soviets to advance from the north, and you end up with a Korea-like situation in Japan. The bomb was bad, but necessary.
