To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Part of me says this is discrimination, but part of me says it's not. I can't decide what's right here.
Ok what self expression through clothes? Since people choose what to wear, should we discriminate people based on what they wear? Does anyone know the personal reasons that lead to the cop being a cop?
As long as he isn't harming anyone, what's the problem?

It matters, psychopath, that he's a policeman. Anarchists and policemen don't go hand in hand. It's the owner's choice whom he allows to receive.
If he really wanted to go there, he could have gone when he wasn't dressed as a policeman and wasn't carrying around a gun.

I don't think they should kick cops out who are not wearing uniforms and are off duty, but if they are on duty and/or wearing a uniform, they can get the fuck up on. Cops are becoming enforcers of oppressive laws more than they are protectors of the people. Every time I see a cop I get a little nervous or agitated for lack of a better world. It's eerie. Back in the day, cops were friendly neighborhood type people who actively helped out the community, now they are forceful, oppressive members of society who instill fear.

I never really liked cops because its some random twit with power but the court case where a woman tried to sue the police because they didn't do their job and protect her son and they ruled in the cops favor made me ill.
Apparently its not a cops job to protect us but to enforce the Laws and statements of the state(government)

Ya probably, but from what I hear back in the day most cops were relatively helpful and community conscious. Maybe I'm just imagining things or watching to many Hollywood movies that depict cops as good people.

Yeah but a woman took them to court on the grounds that they weren't doing their job and the courts ruled that a cops job is to enforce the laws and statements of the state and not to protect citizens.

Oh shit, if I ever go to Portland I'm totally stopping by this cafe. And the people comparing this to racial discrimination are ridiculous; black people aren't born with guns and the legal ability to beat, taser and arrest anyone who disobeys them. It's a completely different situation. If an armed guy walks into your bar and starts intimidating your customers, kicking him out isn't discrimination, it's common sense. To an anarchist, that's basically what a cop is doing.
I think Buenaventura Durruti is a pretty cool guy. eh kills fascists and doesnt afraid of ruins.

Fun facts about cops. Violent crime is down but arrest rates are the same. Why? Because if cops don't keep their arrest numbers up they lose their job. How much protecting they do is COMPLETELY irrelevant. It's like a game and you need to keep over a certain score monthly to continue. Traffic infraction? 1 point! Misdemeanor arrest? 2 points! Felony arrest? 3 points! Van full of felons? Goldmine! The guy in the article did the right thing even though he will inevitably lose a lot of business from this.

Definitely this. I was interviewing a state cop and he has a quota of tickets he has to hand out every couple of months. It's horse shit.

Obviousness is obvious. It's already a criminal witchhunt, a sport that's even often aired on TV to the bloodthirtsy public a-Why don't you have a seat over there? (Not specifically meaning Hansen's lil' show here, but he's a blatant example of a taxmoney waster fed AND a cruel bastard who actually enjoys this job. Any law enforcement that provokes the crime in the first place is the one guilty.)
