To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Gah, I shouldn't be taking tests when I can barely keep my eyes open. I've been running into snags with this type of question a lot, that could be because I'm about to fall asleep at the computer though, so I don't know. Actually, I'm just going to post all three I got wrong. (The fact that I got an A while I can't read the screen is pretty damn amazing, I think)
9∙6 - 2(4)^3 ÷ (-4)
(–6)^2 + 13 Yet another half asleep mistake. I got it right, I just didn't see the number in the multiple choice list.
Scratch the third one, I know what I did wrong there. It was a stupid half asleep mistake.
God, I know there are easy, I just can't sleep, gah, I mean think right now.

12-5=7, 8-4=4. Therefore, 54-128=-74.

The only thing I have though of this ever being useful for me is in designing circuits which can quite more advanced math than this, and some advanced computer programming (most of it requires no more than adding  ).

Everyday mental math and working out shit is useful for everyday life, the theory behind mathematics and life and the universe and shit is only useful for a very small number of people.

Which you did wrong.
Lemme break down PEMDAS for you real quick.
P - Parenthesis
E - Exponents
M - Multiplication
D - Division
A - Addition
S - Subtraction
Since there is nothing in parenthesis here, we do the exponent first. Although the 4 is inside of parenthesis, here they are used to show that you are multiplying. If the 2 were in the parenthesis with the 4 then you would multiply them first.
Therefore we go straight to exponents. 4^3 = 16(4) = 64. Making the problem 9*6 - 2(64) / (-4)
Now we multiply.
54 - 128 / -4
Divide 128 by -4. -32
54 - (-32) = 54 + 32
86 is our answer.
