Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

I would say try to get into college early, if you want an education. High school is not something where you can learn anything useful. If you want to be a great scientist, they'll teach you some science, but they will pester you with a hundred other things you don't care about. Spend ten bucks for a library card and study science there. I would be in highschool, but we only have primary and middle school in Ireland, but it's basically the same thing just compressed into one school. But I don't know the details of getting into things early, Hans might, I'm not sure.

RE: Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

I'm about to start the [Removed]grade so, I highly doubt I'd be able to get into college. And I am already reading books and self educating myself.(Mostly)The reason why I do want to go to highschool early is that I don't want to redo everything from the years before.I'm mostly looking for self education methods as well as a chance to test my education in things like highschool tests. (And if I do pass those, I could go early, still think 'bout that)

I wouldn't put too much faith in any highschool tests, or anything vaguely relating to school. All of them are crooks. Those tests are made with the system in mind, not the kids.

RE: Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

Although I don't know much about colleges/highschools, I know most colleges are overran by a cancer called feminism, so that's a downpoint for colleges.Plus, I'd need a big amount of resources to self educate fully. There's also those mandatory school laws that block my way.Plus, don't you have to do a test or somethin to get into college anyway?

Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

Yeah, that's a fucking formality. I don't think it's a test, more of an application. That's why should go to the public library and learn there instead of school: you'll learn much more, thus making that test easier. I plan on dropping out and trying to become a writer if I don't bump myself off by then. And I accept the possibility I might become homeless, begging for cents at every corner. At least I have a dream, an ambition, I want to do something worthwhile in my worthless existent, unlike those conformist cunts who fall in line with the rest of society's robotic slaves. I'll fucking try, at least.

RE: Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

It's an application for college?Huh, never knew that, and what would they even base that off of based on people in school can't do anything but school.(Because ya know, school takes up 80% of your time)And I guess when you say test I think you mean the highschool one.Since I'm raised by a single mother, it's hard to get time to go to the public library and get books.(although I do go to the library, and if I have no books, I use the internet)

Look, don't take my word for it; it comes purely from books and movies and rumors. I don't know how you apply for college and what the whole process is.

RE: Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

There's also problems with going to college early, seeing that I can't drive yet, it'd be hard to go to one.(Although I could do an online one)Plus my mom most likely wouldn't let me.(She would probably say that I hate my school right now and freak out(I do hate my school though))I'll try and go for highschool and then maybe think of going to college.

Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

Best of luck to you with that then. But I can't survive another two years of this school before I drop out, nevermind two extra years to graduate and more torture in college. If they let me out of school right now, I can begin my education, but right now school's bugging me down.

RE: Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

College is an application and many ask for a SAT score. Its not overrun with feminism or what not. Fantasies of college are generally horribly inaccurate and biased. The good ones teach and give students some slack for learning and cost a lot of money, the rest vary on a scale of ripoffs to decent state school.

All suffer from a serious case of administrative bloat and odds are few people know what the fucj they are doing while professors do their own shit and students do whatever the hell said person wants or doesnt want.

Its just routine. Mechanical. Do these classes, take these tests, write these essays, be a part of student lofe, congrats u managed to follow the rules 4 years have your degree.

RE: Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

College touts itself as the gate to success, but if you keep ur head up and eyes open, you will find the sides blocked only by bushes and while trekking off course will be far more struggling, you get to pick the direction, take your time, and still reach your destination as long as you want it.

They give you the illusion is being trapped but all ya gotta do is take a step out and voila, you see reality as it is.

Fuck that.

See if there is a way to start college early. I know some community colleges offer courses for high school students. College is way better anyway.

Really? Most of the classes I've taken have been far more useful than most of the shit in school.

The most memorable class I had during college was tango. Literally, a dance class was the best thing I've ever had in college.

Should I Try to Start Highschool Early?

I wouldn't put too high an expectation on high school. You can learn all of the content in high school from online sources like Khan Academy and Crash Course, as well as all kinds of other learning. I'd check those out if you want to accelerate your learning of this kind of content.

But, there may be other reasons to go to high school early; I would contact any nearby schools and ask what the requirements would be. You could also homeschool/unschool the years until you reach typical high school age and then try to get placed in a higher grade than you normally would.

Homeschooling/unschooling can be set up in combination with finding local and online classes and resources to put together your own custom education. If you happen to be near a Sudbury school or self-directed learning center, you might look into that too -- though these are somewhat rare. It's more common to find some kind of homeschooling co-ops that can also provide some of the social interaction that people get from school.

Also, early college may be worth looking into, even if that is a few years away. Not all colleges are the same, and some allow a high degree of self-direction (though that is pretty rare.)

What kinds of things do you see yourself doing later on in life, like for work and so on?

Yeah. I signed up for a MOOC on project management and financial literacy. The cool thing about these online courses is that colleges do seriously look into these, as well as employers, not to mention you learn actual useful content.

Take classes while in HS. Community colleges usually allow you to take a class or two during the semester per year. It'll give you some credits and perhaps knock some classes out early on.

But I did myself take classes at the local CC. Astronomy and Statistics. I think I got Cs but it was an intersting thing since I was literally the only one from my school to do it, ever.
