To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I want to make a suggestion to my school district?
Hi,
I'm just a freshman in high school and I have this idea for students to be able to get tutoring over a service called Google Hangouts since our district is giving chromebooks (laptops) to all students at least by next year and since the chromebooks already have microphones and cameras and a keyboard, I thought that teachers could maybe (in there free time) use Google Hangouts to tutor students from virtually anywhere. Should I suggest this to my district? I want too, but I'm scared they won't even read it, or will and just shake it off like I never even sent it. I really do want to submit this feedback though because currently they block Google Hangouts, and a portion of the reason why I was doing bad in one of my classes was because I wasn't able to get tutoring because I had such a full school schedule because of so much homework. Not only that but some students can't get tutoring because of lack of transportation or they're either busy (like me). In my case, I was busy and caught up by schoolwork. But because Google Hangouts lets you call anyone, anytime I would be able to call my teachers from my home without having to be at school for several hours and not get my other school work done. Even if they don't have a chromebook, you can access it from any computer or any device (well most devices and computers that are compatible of course.)
What are your guys' suggestions?

If your teachers don't mind being called at whatever time you need them, then sure, make the suggestion. They could probably find some way to integrate it so that everyone's happy. And if they don't, well, that's not so bad, is it?

You have nothing to lose in making the suggestion. Just keep it concise and professional, with a brief outline of why you think it'd be a good idea and let them make the decision and discuss the matter.
Having an adult or more backing up your idea would also help.

This may sound super cynical but I don't even think it's worth the bother unless you WANT the experience of making the suggestion. If it's a burden to you but you think it might happen I say don't even waste your breath.
If you want to be a different fish, you've got to jump out of the school.

Might be useless depending on how much of a damn the teacher gives and whatever else. BTW TheCancer is a teacher so we get the voice of a cynical teacher to counter our angst.
