"The Office" analyzation

For my sociology class, I need to watch an episode of The Office (US version) and then answer questions about it that have to do with different sociological perspectives (symbolic interactionism, functionalism, conflict). If anyone knows an episode that would be good for this sort of thing, that'd help me out.

I don't watch TV, but I once read this blog post series about The Office. I'm sure it will be useful for you.

Adults are not mature and work is more likely to be something like HS. Don't fall for the hype, we slack like hell in the real world and idiots like Michael Scott are usually the ones getting promoted(though let's be honest, a guy like Michael Scott would still be better than most of his real world counterparts).

Just watch the 1st episode, it does a good job of introducing everyone. Then cheat a bit and use the wikia for The Office for more info.

It's funny and pretty interesting that they got the whole Scranton, PA feel so accurately while never filming outside of Cali.

Sure you could say they film Miami well in many movies, but my understanding is that it rains a ton in Miami and at random intervals. I don't recall ever watching a movie set in Miami where it wasn't sunny beaches with bikini clad babes. AFAIK most NYC is filmed in NYC(cause you can't really get NYC down anywhere else, especially when they cheap out and try to make us think Toronto is NYC).

The main thing they did wrong was not replicating our shitty accent. A Scranton native would never pronounce Scranton the way they do one the show haha
