btw keep in mind k-12 history is absurdly simplified and abbreviated to the extent that some of the stuff are outright incorrect.

Yeah. In that case, it's probably worth giving some of these School Survivors some information against their teacher xD.

Too many specific cases. I can help provide answers if there's anything specific that comes to mind in the form of "I wonder how accurate my teacher/textbook really is?"

Context is key, and by neglecting to provide certain context, schools are helping revise history in a way that removes the reality of the situation. Such is the nature of humanity, and one we must overcome.

Yep. Perhaps one great example is that "colonization" is not "invasion", or "genocide", although I actually won't really hold a grudge against these Europeans, given that they're responsible for my existence, and many other people, not to mention many advances are because of these European... whatever you want to call them.

Of course there are many fine examples though...

They almost always show incredible bias for Europe. They showcase Europe often as superior to Asian, African and Native Americans when they aren't.

Vietnam is probably worst case in contemporary history. Totally lacking substance and total propaganda.

Yep; it's funny because Ho Chi Minh was actually quite openly open American... actually a lot of these "Socialist" movements in many of these countries actually were quite anti-Communist in rhetoric. The one that still comes up to my mind are the Socialists in Guatemala, who were actually quite open to capitalism and were staunchly anti-Soviet.

The Guatemalan president considered a commie was actually a "Christian Socialist" who simply wanted land reforms to end the control of the wealthy United Fruit Company that owned a significant amount of the country's property and resources.

Anti-Imperialism was constantly branded as communist because the rebels fought the exploitations of a capitalist regime.
