Easy way to make music?

I am very musically illiterate and I really need to generate original decent background music, and I don't have time to learn.

What kind of music do you need and how soon? I can make music, but I have a bunch of other stuff to do as well...

I also don't mind if you use mine:

FL Studio can 'generate' music as well. Get it somewhere and just watch a tutorial on how to use the Riff Machine. It's like, just push a button, and it makes a melody for you.

Thanks!
I just need some background music for the videogame I'm making. I plan on releasing it commercially, but it will be a few years from now.

How about http://www.incompetech.com?

I know everyone uses it for youtube and stuff, but primarily because the music is actually good. And you can use it commercially.

Easy way to make music?

Soundcloud is becoming a bitch with copyright lately
Try something like mixcrate or mixcloud for uploading

For producing there are so many DAW's out there. The main ones are FL Studio and Ableton Live. There's also Reason and a few others plus some software from Apple but eh.

In your case I'd recommend FL Studio.

RE: Easy way to make music?

You got any rocks and sticks in your backyard? Gather them shits together. Go to Walmart and buy the cheapest usb microphone you can find. You won't spend much. You can record through your computer. Bang them rocks and sticks together in a somewhat rhythmic manner, or not if you're trying to make something more experimental.

Or, if that doesn't float your boat you can always pirate Ableton. I have a very tech unsavvy friend who swears by it, so I doubt it's particularly challenging to use. FL Studio is very easy to use too though, so if you get the chance you should check them out and see what works out best for you.

Who am I? Who are YOU?
