RIP School Survival Forums

The School Survival Forums are permanently retired. If you need help with quitting school, unsupportive parents or anything else, there is a list of resources on the Help Page.
If you want to write about your experiences in school, you can write on our blog.
To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

The forums are mostly read-only and are in a maintenance/testing phase, before being permanently archived. Please use this time to get the contact details of people you'd like to keep in touch with. My contact details are here.
Please do not make a mirror copy of the forums in their current state - things will still change, and some people have requested to be able to edit or delete some of their personal info.
I've decided to do an article over a game that hasn't released yet, so here it is:
Hidden stuff:
No doubt that a lot of people have heard about the new upcoming Zombie Survival game, H1Z1, which is being published by a Sony Online Entertainment developer. I really love this game, even though I haven't played it. The developers are doing new things, and it's working out great for them. They are letting the community tell them what they want, and for the most part, it seems to have worked. They communicate with the players and have even set-up lore for the game, which other games in this genre have yet to do. The game itself is going to become a Steam early access title from their website(https://www.h1z1.com), and there is possibility of it coming to the PS4.
One of the things I really want to talk about is the Lore. Instead of some text explaining things they took it a step further, they created a faux radio broadcast, which they did in a livestream, and is said to be played in game as well. The Broadcast starts off by peiceing together parts, in which a company creates a cure for everything, but it causes the creation of a Zombie Virus, which ultimately causes the collapse of society. You end up learning more about the world through this broadcast, and you hear 'interviews' which really help the story and atmosphere of the game
This in itself is a great way of promoting the game, and in the video of it, at the end and in an annotation it tells you to submit your stories to a twitter account of the character they have created named David "Double D" Kennedy. The fact that the character states they may update it from time to time, meaning players in the game, might actually become part of the official lore.
I also want to talk about the game itself. The game itself has a great enviroment and it doesn't look like you'd expect. The textures and graphics are excellent, the unexpected part, it doesn't look like the world has gone to hell, unless you come across old buildings, which actually look rather realistic in my opinion. Even though the game isn't even out yet, and is in VERY early alpha.
Wrapping up, I am looking forward very much to H1Z1, and it seems like it brings a lot to the table, especially in player interaction and lore. I would buy this game in a moment(if I had the money anyway). With the game not even out yet, but still has great gameplay and features, and a compelling lore.
Anywho tell me what you thought and please give me tips on how to be better next time.
Pretty Much my only signature...I'm mainly a lurker....you can find me on the IRC (or on DnE and their IRC).
