8 Dirty Bathrooms Don't open the door plz theres a pool of shit and piss in there no really don't open the door

Funny how my "School Sucks Because...." list has grown since.

2. Homework. Homework makes kids lose sleep over it, which damages your immune system; the immense amount of homework damages your immune system.
3. Teachers who humiliate instead of help. Teachers are there to help, then some of them humiliate you when they fail to help.
4. School lunches. School lunches are not delicious nor healthy, which contributes to child obesity.
5. Bullies. This acronym describes bullies: Brutal, Uncontrollable, Low-self-esteemed Losers who Yearn for attention (B.U.L.L.Y.).
6. Cliques. In school, we are pressured to "follow the herd" rather than be ourselves.
7. Assemblies. You sit on a rock (AKA a chair) for 2 hours talking about who-knows-what.
8. So many fire drills. Walk out of a classroom past a deafening siren that can be heard a mile away for something that happens once in a blue moon.
9. Report cards and having to return them, signed. World War III breaks loose in my house if I get one B.
10. Drama/love. People are always gossiping and they are already in relationships (note: these are middle-schoolers in relationships).

2)Ignorant classmates
3) Cruel French teacher. "Why didn't you do this?!" "I was sick" "Whatever. You'll get detention."
4)No friends in my actual situation.
New school
5) Latin. Lots of Latin.
6) Dumb English teacher with a thick French accent, who doesn't even know the definition of 'platypus' or can't pronounce 'could'.
7) Rebellious teens.
8) Weird principal. 'Oh, you should eat like the locals!' *Turns head* " Yes, since you're going to France, can you bring some foie gras?'
9) No trips. None at all.
10) Young perverted brats.

8 Dirty bathrooms - The bathrooms are ungodly, with foul smells, unflushed poop with potential clogged toilets, dirty walls and floors carrying only-god-knows, and more that is just not to be spoken of.

9 Dirty Hallways/classrooms - Not only are the bathrooms bad, but so are the hallways and actual learning environments. They may be filled with debris that could be really terrible. In addition, there may be many, many problems plauging the school, which disrupts the learning environment.

10 Boring/mean teachers - I find the way the teachers teach to not be interesting, or they may be too trigger-happy with punishments.

Really teachers have never bugged me that much. I think about all the stuff they do and kids they put up with and really I can sympathize with a lot of them. Some are really a lost cause though as with anything.

You know, I am sure their are really good public schools out there, private no doubt, but I only went to public and these are my 10 things:

1) Idiot teachers. No, just saying "figure it out" doesn't teach kids and you look like a moron because you obviously have no idea what the answer is.

2) Putting kids with different backgrounds together. WHY OH WHY?! Do you really think the poor kid is going to hang out with rich kid?? What about psycho kids with well balanced ones? Nope. Just nope.

3) "You're late for class!" I was walking a bit slower today and hanging out with friends. Chill.

4) No encouragement of free thinking. If you even do ONE thing outside the bubble, you get sent to the office/bullied.

5) Don't want to go to college? Well then this school has no resources for you!

6) You do want to go to college? Well then let's look at LOCAL places because you TOTALLY want to stay in your area as long as you can!!

7) Early morning. Yeah, I'm not getting paid to do this so don't expect me to be happy about it.

8) Mean teachers.

9) To nice teachers. Seriously, we shouldn't be best friends. It's just weird.

10) Team projects. I think we all get this one. It's really awkward and one person does all the work.

I agree with you with the exception of this (well, partly). Putting kids in there and expecting them to somehow get along with the system as it is constructed is not going to happen, believe me. There are definitely ways to gauge conversation and find common ground, though, believe me. It requires thinking outside the factory model.
