STOP BOMBING SHIT FOR NO FUCKING REASON. It's a pain in the ass. More security, more cameras, more excuses to increase big brothers power.

Somewhat ironically, there's reports of him being a Freemason. He also apparently posted a video on YouTube calling for a modern day "Knights Templar".

I assume he's referring to the historical Templar Knights that fought in the Crusades (which fits with his anti-Islam stance). His manifesto has near the very top the words:

"De Laude Novae Militiae" is actually the title of a treatise on chivalry, specifically praising the Knights Templar.

Actually, he may well have chosen the Knights Templar intentionally. What better way to attract attention to your "movement" than to pick a well known target of conspiracy theories.

Oh, it also looks like he owned a farm. Prime cover for building up a large supply of fertilizer for a large ANFO (Ammonium Nitrate, Fuel Oil) bomb.

I think I've got a good enough grasp on the situation and the trends that lead to this attack to write a fairly good primer on exactly what went down and why, but I'll leave that for when I'm a bit more awake.

By the way, watch abovetopsecret and all the other conspiracy theory sites. They are going to blow the fuck up in the most hilarious way for the next couple of days.

I've briefly skimmed parts of his manifesto. It's interesting. He was very prepared. He knew how to make a plan and have multiple contingency plans. His first plan for obtaining ammonium nitrate was to start up a mining company, even looking up prospectuses so he could provide his front additional credibility, going into detail on how he would generate reasonable doubt if he was arrested for acquiring explosives.

He then goes into how he could get enough fertilizer for a large ANFO bomb by running a small sugarbeet farm. I think we'll soon find out that he decided to plant some sugarbeets.

Not only is that the easy way out and ridiculous in of itself, but Call of Duty would make about as good of a combat simulator as Rollercoaster Tycoon.
