I was looking through several threads in the "Frag Arena" subsection, and I found this:

Anyway, I am expecting to post some notes of what I recently read in the PDF posted above (The first two pages). It's mostly paraphrasing (or straight out copying, I don't know, I need to check.), which is what I apparently seem born to do. Fuck you, teachers who expect me to not do notes likes this (or do "notes" at all.)

-Unlike Luxemburg, Lenin, Trotsky, etc, was "purely theoretical", not much of a "leader".
-Highest party position: Chairman at Leiden Branch of the Dutch SDAP (Sociaal Democratische Arbeiders Partij, Social Democratic Workers' Party)
-Break with Comintern caused "Pannekoek [to lose] touch with any movement of consequence"
-"Problem of inaccessibility" to his writings (We don't have much of an issue with that nowadays with the Marxist Internet Archive and other archives providing his works on political theory.)
-Wrote mostly in Dutch, used many pseudonyms
-Appearance of writings on mostly obscure publications

Nature of the socialist/labor movements and theory evolved much during his (considerably long) life.

Militant in Dutch and German Social Democrat parties prior to 1914.
Collaborated with (Karl) Kautsky on Neue Zeit
Emerged along with Luxemburg as leader of left-wing of German SPD
Gained fame with 1912 Neue Ziet(?) polemic against Kautsky. Early left-wing critic of the social democratic movement.
Called for a new International during WWI (as possibly a response to the nationalistic and "Social Patriot" sympathies of the many parties involved in The Second International)
Militant and revolutionary leading figure in the Zimmerwald anti-war movement.
Left-wing/left communist critic of Leninism.
Along with Gorter, was a leading theoretician of the KAPD (Kommunistische Arbeiter-Partei Deutschlands, Communist Workers' Party of Germany, which was split from the Communist Party of Germany in 1920.)

Since I am bringing this up, some of you might remember that I discussed on playing various SimCity games in my introduction thread. Well, I'd just like to make a few statements on one of them.

In SimCity Societies, there was a set of many models (Housing, venues, decorations (Sculptures, parks, fountains)) under the Authoritarian theme. Many of the models resembled architecture under Stalinism, Italian Fascism (A lot of the bigger buildings somewhat resembled right-wing Futurist things of what some of them hoped for the Fascists to accomplish), and Nazism (This may not be as prominent, I'm not sure as I haven't played in a while, but I think the llama statue could be counted in this one.).

I'll probably share a couple of screenshots soon if I can find them.

I remember making a big authoritarian sandbox city. Societies was a decent game, if not really a SimCity game. I'd like to see any photos you took, too.

I actually still have Societies on my computer. Yeah, it's pretty fun and allows you to be quite creative, but it's not a SimCity. Not a traditional one, at least.

The downside is that they easily give in to copyright weirdos.
