To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I spent a long time today(and yesterday) to get it like this. Also yes I know the icons are too small, dunno how to change that....

My PC is the opposite of yours. It's XP-Styled Windows 7!

Seriously, why would you deface the beautiful Windows XP interface by adding overly-flashy Windows 7 crap to it.
Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Well, back to the interface mods. I installed Luna via UXThemePatcher (I have Royale as well because I had XP Media Center, and on that Royale was default, so that's more nostalgic.) The start menu comes from Classic Start, with the settings modified. What I can't show you is my bootskin, which is the XP bootscreen modded to say Windows 7. I also can't show you that I'm using the soundpack for Windows Longhorn (which I may change to XP to coincide with the End-of-Life of XP.)

For anyone who remembers me going on an archive binge: Thank you all. I know I ended it being a drama queen, I don't really agree with the ideology anymore, and I'm really not the same person I was (I went through a neopagan phase!) but still this site was the first online community I was in. At least their games aren't absolute bug-ridden cash-whores *cough*Battlefield 4*cough*. Still annoys me when I'm forced to use Steam to install a game (even moreso when said game doesn't even work)...

Can't get a shot of mine at the current time as I fucked up my computer trying to dual boot Linux Mint 16. But, it was Windows 8 and I had a crap load of icons/folders on the desktop that I only recently cleaned up a bit. The background was on a slideshow of mostly pictures of RWBY along with a few from /r/Offensive_Wallpapers and only 1 NSFW picture, and 3 Jennette McCurdy pictures.

My desktop used to have two folders only, one at the top left corner and the other at the top right. In between that space was shortcuts to video games I'd play often. Other than that...my desktop was pretty clear.

Oh yeah, I got Origin for the Battlefield 4 Beta (which sucked ass btw) and never remembered to get rid of them. All that fraps shit is just pirated copies of fraps.
And yeah I'm kind of a valve fanboy so...

Brainiac gets props for cleanest desktop, and a cool wallpaper. KFC gets prop for WinXP style, TF2, RCT3P and Angry Birds Space. Always love a bit of gaming masochism. Sharipe get special mention for a neat wallpaper and Theme Hospital. I like Gwedin's right-most dock icon as well; what is that anyway?
