To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Hidden Cameras?
So today at school, I walked in a bit paranoid. As I sat down in the theatre (that's where we go until everyone arrives) I had this unshakable sense that someone (like a PRINCIPAL) was watching my every move for no reason.
So the natural thing is to turn around. I did, and no one was there. And the feeling didn't shake. In fact it got WORSE. I looked around for cameras, and I saw nothing. It grew even stronger. Almost to the point where I was almost freaking out.
So I rationalize with a theory that they may have installed hidden cameras and use all the cameras (hidden or otherwise) for reasons OUTSIDE discipline. Keep this in mind.
As I walked into my classroom and sat down, I felt it grow just a bit stronger. I had a strong feeling that they were watching me through hidden cameras installed in the classrooms.
My friends and teacher insisted that there was no such thing. But, alas.
I was told that there is a rumor that they've installed hidden cameras in the boys restrooms, for many fights were breaking out.
After a while the 'being watched' feeling died out.
If they'd violate privacy that much, they'd have no problem sticking them in classes and other areas.
So I treat this as sort of a conspiracy theory. But many people attest to the restroom camera theory. So they probably do it elsewhere. What do you think?

Isn't it illegal to put cameras in restrooms in the US?

I am 14, and have my own computer repair business! And I'm a small time DJ also. No joke.

Hidden Cameras?
One day, I happened to have the same paranoid feel that you had. And guess what? I literally saw a camera in the restroom. But, this was back in elementary school. I don't know about middle school or high school, but I wouldn't be surprised if there were cameras in my school's restrooms.
So, due to pass experiences, there probably are cameras in your school restrooms. Since you aren't sure about hidden cameras in your school's restrooms, I would try to look more into that, if I were you, TheLiberal.

Hidden Cameras?
I always keep an eye out for cams in restrooms. It's not that hard to figure out where one might be hidden in some bathrooms, due to design.

Those are one of the biggest culprits. Followed by the drain that seems to be too conveniently placed. I think Joe Biden uses that.

Hidden Cameras?
Cameras are illegal in the US in restrooms, but it's not illegal for them to listen in on you in the restroom, which many stores and schools do.
