Tarot, Anyone?

Hey, what do you guys think of Tarot? Specifically, me doing Tarot readings for you guys.

For anyone who doesn't know, Tarot is the use of special cards used to predict the future. They are often used as a tool for introspection and advice as well.

So, if anyone interested, pop in and ask a question. I'll do a spread, and post back with the cards I got and my interpretation.

I don't expect anyone to believe Tarot is some magic future-telling thing. I do expect some "HOLY SHIT!" moments, though.

Specific question? I thought peiple just asked for a tarot reading and the gypsy lady did her voodoo, saw death in the cards, got scared, refused payment and turned out be an Americam college student dressed like a gypsy to attract more customers.

That's the spread I got for you. I think I'll just give you a general overview, instead of a card-by-card analysis. There's a lot of connections in this one, so I think that's necessary.

First, the cross area. You are a, young, quirky person (perhaps a little naive, no offense.) You just won a big "Clash," or what I think is a fight, but not a physical one. The immediate challenge you have is a huge amount of possibilities. The world is at your oyster. Nothing can stop you. I'll get to later why this is a challenge. In the near future, you will be restricted and blinded if you go forward in your plans. Not in a physical sense, but in a situational sense. Both your goals and your inner desires match up in the sense that they both want to leave. They are even leaving in the same direction. But, your outer self and inner self have different perceptions of you. You THINK that that are wounded, just limping away from that clash you had, but you're not. You are strong, stronger than you were before, and you have a fortune.

Now, for the column. Again, we see this fortune. You know that you have this, but you are ignoring it. The world is offering you nothing but this fortune, but you aren't accepting it. Maybe your desires of leaving are keeping you from taking it? Your main fear is falling asleep, not having any control of the situation, which will be realized in the future if you keep going on this path. But, the final outcome of the situation is death. Not of yourself, but either of this great fortune, or leaving.

To summarize:
You have a choice between leaving and making the world yours, or a great fortune that you realize that you have, but not at a conscious level. One or the other, not both. If you continue on the path you are on now, you will be restricted, which is one of your main fears.

Wow, sorry dude. That's a little grim. But hey, you should look for that fortune!

I'm intrigued by the parallels and differences between these tarot sessions and something like psychotherapy or counseling. The cards, which present archetypal images, basically provide a catalyst for conversation, more than anything, the way I see it.

Yeah, don't take this too seriously. This is supposed to be fun. I don't want any messages saying "I FOLLOWED THE TAROT AND X HAPPENED WAHHHHHH." But, I have predicted things with the Tarot before. My advice is to take the Tarot as advice, but use it to strengthen your reasoning for a decision, not to make a decision in itself.

Exactly. Face to face is the best option, because they can link the events in the cards to events in their life. It's much like therapy in that respect.

Because it was general love life, I decided to go with the Celtic Cross. This was a hard one to read, because it was all over the place.

First, the cross. Right now, I presume you are in a relationship, but not a really serious one. You just went through a terrible break up, and you're never going to be with him again. In the near future, you're going to be single, but you are going to like the independence it gives you. The main challenge in a relationship is that you move around a lot, either physically or emotionally. Unlike Brainiac's, your desires do not match up at all. Your goal is to have men fight over you. But inside, all you want is to stop the contests and just settle down with someone you love.

Next, the column. Again, we see this mindset that a relationship is something that's given. Suitors fight, and you give the winner the privilege to be with you. This method is not a good one, as it only works by chance. The main reason why you use this method is because your afraid of being obstructed. Maybe this was something in your previous relationship that caused this, or maybe it's a fear that you'll be trapped in a relationship and you'll fall for someone else. The final outcome is that you will eventually find someone, but not anytime soon, and after this contest thing ends.

IN SUMMARY:
You suffered a bad breakup, in a not serious relationship, and will be independent. Your main way of choosing someone to be with is having "fights" or "contests" of some sort, and then choosing the winner. You will only find someone when you stop doing this, as it's not a good thing to do. Don't ask me what I mean by "contests" and "fights," because I have no clue.

So, this one's pretty okay. Stop the contests, and you'll be good.

ONE THING TO NOTE: I'm only saying what the cards are saying. I'm not assuming anything about you.

The cross says that your main desire in a relationship is fairness. You want both sides to be equal. This is because in a previous relationship, you let yourself be controlled by your partner. The main thing is that this desire for fairness may be looked at by some people as being controlling as well. Your inner and outer desires match up very well, you want to really work at something. Either at the relationship itself, or mending a broken heart. Don't worry, you'll meet someone in the near future. It will take a while for a relationship to bud, but it'll be worth it.

In the column, we again see a desire for fairness and equality in a relationship. But, your circumstances will provide you with a relationship you desire. Your main concern is that this partner will again take the upper hand and control you. But, for the most part, I see you meeting and falling in love with a feisty girl that has an equal desire in fairness.

IN SUMMARY:
You want fairness in an relationship due to past experiences. Soon, you will meet a girl that you will like. It will take a long time for a relationship to develop, but you will not regret it if and when it does.

Another love reading coming up!

Right now, you look at love as something unattainable, a fantasy. The main challenge here is that you look at yourself as a wounded person, or someone that is impaired when it comes to love. It never has been easy for you. You'll meet someone in a busy place, and you'll get something going, but I'm not sure if that will turn into anything. Your inner and outer desires do not match up too well. Your outer goal is just to get a girlfriend, but inside, you want more. Someone to love and cherish forever.

I'm seeing untapped potential in you. You look at love as something unattainable, but you're more than capable of getting someone, if you haven't already. Nothing is working against you and this goal besides yourself. You keep yourself guarded, afraid of getting hurt, but you can't see that you will. In the end, there's a lot of things you need to work on before a relationship can flourish.

IN SUMMARY:
You can easily find love, but you aren't in the right mind to receive love. You keep yourself guarded away from emotion, and don't think love comes easily. Nothing is stopping you but yourself.

I don't want to put this in the actual reading, but I am seeing parallels between this one and your previous one. Maybe the fortune is love?

Fortune can be anything. But it makes sense since generallly speaking, love can sometimes interfere with ambition(in the sense of improving your own life). You see it in films a lot. The GF or BF that has to decide between the great job or his/her loved one.

Not that I have this dilemma, but it does make sense.
