To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

My Classmates...

This is one thing I don't like about virtual school. Everyone is stupid. A new kind of stupid. I'll give you a few examples.

So, we have a discussion board that we use for some assignments. The first week of Psychology, the subject was about why we signed up and stuff like this. One person said that he asked the teacher if he would be able to read his grandpa's mind by the end of the year. HE SIGNED UP FOR THE CLASS SO THAT HE COULD READ MINDS. The teacher steered him in the right way, but still:

1. You're an idiot for thinking that Psycology=Telepathy.
2. You're an idiot for admitting it.
3. You're an idiot for putting that somewhere where someone can take a screen shot and put it on Tumblr.

One in History was about the best ROMAN achievement, and one guy wrote something about the Greeks! WE DIDN'T EVEN MENTION THE FUCKING GREEKS THAT WHOLE LESSON! I could kind of get why an idiot would think psychology is about gaining psychic powers, but it says "Roman" right there! You pulled "Greek" right out of your ass.

Not to mention all the Bible thumpers and Right wing extremists that use terms such as "Unborn children." It's like LL101 all over again except I go to school with them.

I wish I could just ignore them, but I have to comment on two other people's posts to get credit. And I spend a lot of time trying to find something worth commenting on.

Oh, and it's about 20% bronies, which us just weird. I don't have anything against bronies, but the amount of them in one place that has nothing to do with MLP is just...

Asking a stupid question is better than getting a stupid answer. Some of your classmates need to learn that, and in other cases you need to learn that from your other classmates.

A lot of homeschoolers (and also virtual schoolers) have debilitating religious background. Debilitating as in extremeist. Unborn child is an appropriate term I guess.

This comes after I realized I mixed the metaphor. I mean that it's better to ask something stupid than to do something stupid. Maybe I do lack reading comprehension to some degree...

There's MLP everywhere. It's just weird that something so niche is so prevalent in there.
