To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.

I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.

I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.

I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.

I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.

Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.

Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

I have to wirte a journal on the most boring topic

I have to wirte a fake journal about a fake person in........colonial times :( Bored. This is SO BORING and UNITERESTING i cant even write one word. Basically you have to write about your normally normal life as a sterotypical colonist. Bored So each would be about a different thing such as "I went to the farm toady and worked for hours before coming home to my wife who was preparing dinner and had already cleaned the entire house. There was note on the table that said I had to pay taxes (IM NOT SURE FI COLONISTS PAYED TAXES BECAUSE THEY HARDLY EVEN WNET OVER COLONIAL LIFE AND EXPECTE US TO LOOK IT UP ON OUR OWN TIME!!! Noo ). What do I do I'm so bored with this idea.

Yes, they paid taxes. Well, they were EXPECTED to, but they never did, because of how easy it was to ignore the tax collector. The taxes started after the French and Indian war, if I remember. But there were no notes.

Colonial times are kinda interesting for me, so I've picked up some things here and there.

Add a storyline in there to make it fun or something. Smile

Maybe write about a hunt in the woods or a fishing trip. you can get away with exaggeration on those topics/

Well, it's like many things in life, just hang in there!

But if you are geniunely bored silly, then spice it up (does it get graded? If yes, be careful all the same.)
Respect the assignment whilst making fun of it. Write about taxes and a daily life routine, but get obsessed with something quirky, if you like. Your fake person has an obsession with... cow droppings or the smell of woodlice or something and repeatedly rambles about it. Make it yout challenge to get away with that!

Colonists got kidnapped by Native Americans all the time. That might be really fun to write about, as well as the quirkyness previously mentioned. Have the Indians obsess over something about your colonist, like is shoe buckles or a mole on his nose. Smile

This is a very good book on that topic. It's a true story too. O.M. Spencer is actually related to me. I don't remember how. Like a great great uncle or something, I'd have to ask my dad.

After a day of drinking at the local pub, Johnny Appleseed came home and beat the fuck out of his wife. She wouldn't shut up so he got his gun he used to shoot rabbits and hit her over the head with it, again and again until she stopped moving. Then his children came out to see what had happened. He cursed at them and then killed them both.

something along those lines is what I would put.
