To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Ever hating hearing this phrase from a teacher when your trying to complete an assignment or test when it's almost time to leave the classroom? Nothing good ever comes out of that, other than making you do work at a slow pace.
If your not going to have time to finish it, what's the point? Might as well rush it. Having a good chance of getting something right is better than not doing it all.

It's worse when they tell you to take your time when you are taking your time.
I'm trying to think here, yet their ruining my concentration by talking. Not to mention they waste my time by telling my to take my time, and I don't like wasting my time.

I know you want to post a witty reply, guys, but take your time, no one's rushing you. You have all the time in the world. Just keep breathing, you still have a couple of minutes, plenty of time, don't rush, let the answer come to you, you are under no pressure. Just breathe. Take it in. Easy does it. You don't have to answer right away. No need to be hasty. Choose the right answer carefully, don't guess the wrong one quickly. Okay?

From the teacher's perspective 'take your time' equals 'don't finish early because I don't want to have to think of another way to occupy your mind for the next 25 minutes but when the bell rings you have ten seconds to get out of here.'
If you want to be a different fish, you've got to jump out of the school.

I always finish early. Be it tests, or homework.
It was either "You should take your time" or "Check your work". Once I checked my work 8 times, then finally said "I think I've checked it more than enough times MISS"(female teacher) and finally got it handed in. Then I napped for the remaining 25 minutes for the class to finish. I ended up with a 100, yet even with that the teacher still kept nagging me about checking my work...

Busy looking like I'm having a hard time with a test I easily finish. Just more nonsense of the current educational system.(The Factory System)
