To everyone who joined these forums at some point, and got discouraged by the negativity and left after a while (or even got literally scared off): I'm sorry.
I wasn't good enough at encouraging people to be kinder, and removing people who refuse to be kind. Encouraging people is hard, and removing people creates conflict, and I hate conflict... so that's why I wasn't better at it.
I was a very, very sensitive teen. The atmosphere of this forum as it is now, if it had existed in 1996, would probably have upset me far more than it would have helped.
I can handle quite a lot of negativity and even abuse now, but that isn't the point. I want to help people. I want to help the people who need it the most, and I want to help people like the 1996 version of me.
I'm still figuring out the best way to do that, but as it is now, these forums are doing more harm than good, and I can't keep running them.
Thank you to the few people who have tried to understand my point of view so far. I really, really appreciate you guys. You are beautiful people.
Everyone else: If after everything I've said so far, you still don't understand my motivations, I think it's unlikely that you will. We're just too different. Maybe someday in the future it might make sense, but until then, there's no point in arguing about it. I don't have the time or the energy for arguing anymore. I will focus my time and energy on people who support me, and those who need help.

Swimming + Menstruation = WTF?
So in gym class we've recently begun swimming. I've managed to find a swimsuit that fits and doesn't have lots of padding shoved in my face. But my teacher called all the girls over and said that we can only miss one day of our periods, so we should use that day on our heavy flow days. I have never swum with my period because I don't want to bleed in the pool even if it stops in the water, it'll all rush out when I get out.
Stupid gym teacher. AND my gym teacher's a FEMALE!

That sucks...maybe you could fake a stomachache and sit in the nurse's office the whole period or something? Or just skip the class altogether?

Cant you get your parents involved or something. Or maybe you just say all your times are of he heavy flowing kind.

Are you implying we are not mature enough to handle a common and naturally occuring function of the female body and expect us to cover our ears like adolescent children and scream "ew" while running away. Omfg your school has a pool? Dang you must be rich, I live in the ghetto town with moldy, falling apart schools. Anyways, you could fake a sickness to your school nurse, or just hang around in the bathroom the whole class. If that's impossible, use tampons, or just do what I do, whine and go to the doctor, to get 'the pill'. Now I barely even have a period, that would definitely help you out. How long is your swimming unit?

Yes, I am. I have never met a man (my age at least) who could handle any mention of the word period. I apologize for offending you! And I don't even know how to use a mobile so  I suppose I should have given the people of SS the benefit of the doubt.
She also said that there was one girl who DID bleed in the pool and that someone had to clean out the pool and the pool deck. Yet she's still telling us to swim with our periods. And she didn't tell us how the girl felt about this. Which kind of bothered me. I think she's missing a soul.

I've been in the pool on my period. A tampon will stop it up just fine unless it's a really heavy-flow day. Use super absorbency tampons if you have to.
Menstrual cups will also work if you have one.

If you're uncomfortable with it, for any reason, that's your personal business and perogative. A lot of women like to use pads not tampons. No one has a right to tell someone else how to maintain their own vagina. Get a doctor's note. Any family practitioner will write one. Just tell the doctor it makes you uncomfortable.
